So is it at least somewhat like the great terrains and open world exploration of Crysis 1?
Crysis 1 wasn't "open world", it had open areas but it's not like you could skip entire segments of the map and travel to later areas of the game, it was still a linear trip from point A to B.

And that's fine. The ways you could go from point A to point B were pretty damn fun and vary unless you played the game like a typical shooter.

You can skip basicly the entirety of both Crysis 1 and 2 with the cloak. Also in both (but more in the first) swimming also lets you do this.
Crysis 1 really wasn't any more open than say, Serious Sam. It's never been the open world shooter everyone says it was really, the first level is the most open one. It would look a lot more linear if you replaced the ocean with a minefield or something.
All 3 games are broadly linear with freely navigable "arenas" really.
That being said I fucking love Crysis and I can't wait for the 22nd.
After you killed the Korean general it was a completely linear trip from there on.
This trailer is a sham.
Theres no fucking way you can say stealthed while running that long.
