Are you talking about him using a sine wave bass, or the pads he uses a lot? If so, they sound like dampened string sections from the movie's score that get cut up and sampled.

I've been on and off this project for a few months. It's demanded more time and energy than any of my tracks before. That, and I'm a terrible perfectionist - I got to a point where I was deciding which of two frames was more on beat for each cut. 25fps isn't all that much. Regardless of how tedious this project was, I have to say I'm very happy with it. I've come to know 'Terminator 2' so well now that I feel as though I have a relationship with it. It's been an adventure I'm so happy to have experienced.
