Future Perfect with Open GL on PCSX2 is 95% playable. Source I've clocked the game on it. The RT cameras/Crane camera is still a shit.
Better yet, if you want sharper visuals, emulate Future Perfect on gamecube with Dolphin. Dolphin is a great emulator and for me it ran like a dream.

TS4 when Oh and of course the video includes polygon being shit at games
Wait, so, what is it like in the PC version? Does it just have a version of TS2 with proper full PC controls?
I swear if you can play anaconda then it's probably the best shit
I like emulating my copy of TS2 on PCSX2, it's not bad but it does have some issues. Unfortunately Future Perfect is a mess on PCSX2, whether it's due to peformance or graphics issues, or the screen static that's nigh unremoveable. The alternative option is emulating them on Dolphin which is both smoother and more accurate, but then you've got Gamecube controls fucking with your reflex if you grew up on the PS2 versions like I did. learning that the GC version of Future Perfect looked slightly better effects-wise blew my mind earlier this year, even if it's a really minor difference at best
The problem I've had with emulating games on the PC is that the mouse control is always awful. It has that weird joystick acceleration and it is difficult to aim precisely, and I am really picky about it which sucks. I want something like the modified Project64 emulator specifically made for 60FPS Goldeneye/Perfect Dark with a "mouse injector" which gives you the ultra slick and responsive mouse control like you would have in Counter Strike or any other PC purpose-built FPS. Also in the video, I noticed that the TS2 aiming style which is like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark (The crosshair moves within the screen, kind of like ArmA) was modified so that it is stationary and in the center. If they could do all of this just for an easter egg in a game which isn't even that highly rated or popular, I don't see it being that much harder to port the rest of the game. I legit would have bought Homefront had this been the full game, solely for TS2.
Wow this game was my childhood. Please Crytek, please make TS4. I don't think they're aware of how many people would buy the game.
I legit would have bought Homefront had this been the full game, solely for TS2.
But then comes the weird problem of Crytek owning Timesplitters, but selling Homefront to Deep Silver. They probably let this little easter egg slide since it's a remnant of their work on it, but a whole game would probably deal with some more red tape. Not sure Crytek is making money off of Homefront as it is now, anyway.

You're supposed to play emulated games with a controller.
All these posts are making me nostalgia hard for Timesplitters Future Perfect. I spent hours making single player missions on that game.
Y'know...I may just have to pick up Homefront The Revolution just for this. Trying to find a used copy of Timesplitters 2 for either the gamecube or the Xbox is very difficult. And its such a shame that there hasn't been anything quite like it in years. It's a terrific FPS.

I know an official TimeSplitters release for PC (let alone a brand new game) won't ever happen, but at least we got a nice little nod, even if it does feel a little bit like a cruel tease at this point. I'm so desperate for more time-warping monkey adventures that I'll take anything.
this is actually incredible please fucking god bring this series back, i want to replay future perfect so bad right now
Wow this game was my childhood. Please Crytek, please make TS4. I don't think they're aware of how many people would buy the game.
They were developing TS4, but cancelled it because...They couldn't decide what character to put in the coverart.
its a shame that homefront looks like a game made in 2005 but with a high res texture pack
They were developing TS4, but cancelled it because...They couldn't decide what character to put in the coverart.
Imagine being that fucking retarded. Even if you wanted to be greedy, you could have had several different types of cover art and advertised "Have you collected them all today?". Sure it would have been stupid, but it would have meant the game could have existed.
About FP I loved the Map creator, it look very similar now to DooM SnapMap it was very complex :)
I used to play the desert map and put zombie monkeys all around the map, and then put regular monkeys on my side of the map and then play as a monkey myself and I would fight zombie monkeys for what seemed like hours a day. I had to be like 8 lmao. I fucking miss TS so much. I might hook my GameCube up to play it.
They were developing TS4, but cancelled it because...They couldn't decide what character to put in the coverart.
I'm pretty confident that's bullshit. Free Radical was working on Battlefront 3, and then Lucas Arts decided to fuck them over by canceling the game when it was under the refinement stage, it was something like 60/70% complete.

Sad, but at least it gave us timesplitters 2.
Where did that info come from? I thought they cancelled TS4 because their last game (Haze) was a bust and they had to downsize or something.
This is likely the case, but the whole cover art thing was what their excuse was to the public.
I'd pay so much for Timesplitters 2 released on Steam with the co-op/MP.
I spent countless hours playing Time Splitters 2 on my PS2, split-screen with my brother. I probably blew more time playing the local multiplayer with him than I did playing the story, which was also amazing. But how do you beat fighting a giant horde of snowmen on magic carpets using only flamethrowers? [editline]18th May 2016[/editline] Also why doesn't Harry Tipper have his own game yet?
