I've already ruled out something like Spider-Man 2 ever coming out again, it seems pure chance Raimi was allowed to make it the way he did and the MCU is pretty bland against it and its a shame its now joining that world.
Spider-Man 2 is literally the perfect superhero film, it sucks that Marvel don't want to take risks and try and make something like that anymore. Every MCU film is so generic and cookie-cutter now, I wouldn't be surprised if people got bored of them soon.
Btw, if you want to see the boat scene, it came out 12 years ago!

I find this kid to be quite unnatural. His screen presence screams "haha okay im shooting for a marvel movie im playing a nerd hey wow awkward fake smile haha". He has the demeanor of someone who just saw some old acquaintance that he just wants to get past and end the conversation with 100% of the time.
I like him when he is suited up and mask on but as Parker he is absolutely my least favorite so far.
This looks way better than whatever the fuck The Amazing Spiderman was.

i wouldn't call them perfect but both 1 and 2 are movies that show how much did the director really care about his project and vision. but to be honest, that's just sam raimi with every film he made
Holy fuck Vulture.
the same scene happens twice lol

If you're talking about the quick scene at the beginning they do that because when the video is used in adverts(On youtube) thats the couple seconds of video you have to watch before skipping the video.
Lots of trailers do that now
kid seems a little tough for spiderman - I thought the dude didn't need to take a hit, he could just dodge it?
maybe we'll see some brutal hong kong style action, meat cleavers and sick kung fu action!
...a man can dream, right?

Yeah, it's such a stupid trend. It's like they tell you: "Hey, don't turn off please look what the next trailer is about!"
I'm so annoyed by this.

Everyone complaining it looks to 'disney channel' or high school movie esque totally misses the ENTIRE point of spiderman.
If it DIDNT look like a teen film then it'd be a piss poor spiderman adaptation, the entire premise of spiderman is the juxtaposition of the struggles presented by being a superhero with real responsibility (remember what uncle ben said!) overlayed on the every day troubles of being a growing adult and a perceived social outcast. This trailer has done nothing but show that they understand Spidey as a character and are handling things perfectly, got me wicked excited for the movie tbh
Okay, that KIND OF sold me on the movie.
I just hope they don't bloat it with too many villains. I feel like the Vulture is all it needs.

Tinkerer, Vulture, and Shocker.
Villain count isnt a problem so long as they use them wisely, most MCU films have had multiple villains. (Thanos, Loki, and The Other in Avengers for example, or [sp]Pierce[/sp], Winter Soldier, Batroc, and [sp]Arnim Zola[/sp] in Winter Soldier.)
What are you talking about? You do understand Spider-Man is in high school for 30 issues out of like 700?
First, he said growing adult, which yes is a big part of his character having to juggle between being a normal person and a superhero.
Second, a lot of AU or flashback stuff focuses on his time as spider-man in high school.
Not to mention this reads more like Ultimate Spider-Man moreso than anything seeing that Peter is in high school with Ned Leeds being switched in for Ganke. Not that it's a big deal since Ultimate Spider-Man isn't bad (at least thats what everyone says) but I feel it's disingenuous for people to talk about what is "the ENTIRE point of spiderman" when it comes to movie adaptions as if they are entirely true to the character.
I dont see anyone complaining about this shit with Cap, Hulk, Tony, Thor, etc. and the universe as a whole which takes heavy inspiration from the Ultimate comics.

MCU as a whole is inspired by the entirety of Marvel Multiverse of comics, with ties not only to the main universe but to Ultimate, MAX, "What If..." and many more lines of comics.

Yeah but it tips a bit more on the Ultimate side overall. Nick Fury, SHIELD, the Triskellion, certain details relating to Cap, Hulks origin, Thor being mistaken as a mentally ill weirdo, Hawkeye a little bit before he started shifting more traditional. Point is, its silly to go "nuh uh its not traditional its weird" when the whole MCU has taken bits and pieces from all over Marvel mythos, not just 616.

This all the way. Even with the cheesiness of Raimi's Spiderman, they did show the struggle of Peter balancing his regular life since Uncle ben died with his Superhero life that the Avengers don't need to tackle. Tony Stark's a billionaire who spilled his secret identity in the first film and he's a target by everyone. Thor's a demigod who looks down on the commonfolk. Captain America is a man from the late 30's revived into the modern world. Peter Parker had the luck to be giving amazing abilities under the nose of everyone not noticing so he has a chance to BE normal and still save the day on the off-chance.
