You know you can still bring your game CD to your friend's house, install your game in his xbox, log in with your account, and merrily play the game? No one's stopping you from doing that.
Neither does the PS4 have backwards compatibility, nor plenty of consoles in the past.
The DRM is just like Steam.
And we don't know what games it will have yet.
No one is forcing you to watch TV in your xbox
But hey xbox none guis am i rite XD
I guess it's the extra hassel of having to install your game (on a small hard drive) everytime you bring the game to a friends house, and the fact you need to log in to your own profile for it to work that makes people mad.
Also, you can no longer borrow or rent games, since it requiers that first time profile for it to work, which was kinda the big advantage consoles had over PCs.
How the fuck are they going to enforce the "not so always" always online?
What happens when you don't connect it once a day because i imagine most people don't live to serve a fucking machine
http://www.vg247.com/2013/05/21/xbox-one-live-tv-available-in-us-only-at-launch-requires-separate-device/
Oh wow.
So the main selling point for the console is only for the US and will also cost a chunk more money to even be able to use it, even before the inevitable fees.
This is easily the worst idea microsoft has ever made.
All the TV stuff, which was the majority of what was shown, won't even be available outside the US. The entire show was completely pointless for the rest of the world, other than seeing the actual console. It's obvious they only care about the US at this point.
why would I watch a 21 minute video of a decent opinion presented terribly
this guy does not know how to fucking edit; i've seen top ten videos that he;s done that go on for half a fucking hour, some of the older ones he only uploaded the first part and you have to watch the rest on his site because they went over the fucken old youtube length limit
brevity is the soul of wit, and this guy has none

don't worry, you can still play the new call of duty and defend holy infallible america from the foreign hordes!!!
oo-rah motherfucker, lock and load. let's shoot us some brown peoples!
This came to me: who the fuck needs social integration? I'm not talking about gamers (as in FP users), i'm talking about the average dudebro. Is he going to use his new xbox for facebook? lolno, he'll just pull out his iPhone and check his fb there. It's the only popular way to do it in 2013 (and also a hell lot easier than using a gamepad).
Literally no-one is going to use those social features, except maybe for trying out.
The only problem for me is i have my xbox in the garage which is at the end of my garden, and there is no internet connection in there, so even if it has to do an online check every day and not be constantly online im screwed. I only actually use my xbox when mates come round for games like mortal kombat 9, so i'll probably just get a ps4 instead.
I sure love my computer
Either buying a PS4 or upgrading my PC. Xbox One is out of that competition.
this is the appropriate response.

investment comes before the product is even created. it literally works the exact opposite of how you are explaining it
Uh.
No.
You dont seem to understand that if this company does not make back a good profit on their product nobody is going to invest in them.

So once and for all: Stockholders mean jack shit if nobody buys your product.

He's not trying to present an opinion in an organized format- its exactly what it says on the tin. Its him letting off steam, a trail of his thought coming out in a rant. Would you rather he did scripted anger?
Pretty much this:

Wouldn't a better metaphore be that Lincoln is Microsoft, and the consumers are JWB, breaking their butt w/ a hammer?

The part where he just started making noises with his mouth and mimicking guns somehow had me in tears from the uncontrolled laughter.
He's being really silly and over the top usually but this is insane.

youre installing an entire game onto his harddrive
id rather save my friend the time and not clog up HIS harddrive with my WHOLE GAME just so he can play for a day.
then again i wouldnt make such a poor decision such as buying an xbox one.

y... yeah

goodbye harddrive space, goodbye money because youll need to buy harddrives from microsoft.
"yes the xbox one does indeed come with a blu-ray drive!"
"that's a lot of disc space! for games I assume?"
"no those go in your hard drive"
"oh"
