Less showing of the aliens and leaving some of it to my imagination would have made the movie ok. Also less sequal bait and no Shia.
No but it's by far the most ridiculous what are you trying to do, make me list a bunch of ridiculous things then compare them all as equals without any regard for the severity of them or the redeeming qualities the films may otherwise have had just so you can pretend to win the argument and leave your brain at the door in good faith next time too?

You guys are missing the point...it's set in the 50's, that's what was happening at the time. Aliens and government paranoia.
