I bet Dr. Seager was a prick anyway
my dad took me shooting once and it wasnt till i was 15 i got to shoot a deagle not a machine gun tho
Wait, in America, everyone gets to shoot guns as kids? Shit, I've been living here 19 years and haven't fired one. I feel ripped off.
I've lived in New York State all my memorable life, and I have never shot an actual gun.
Sigh, another video that makes America look bad. We use guns not to look like dick-waving idiots, but for general purposes, like if a intruder comes into your house with a loaded gun, what will you use? Your fists? I dun think so. Also, what if there was a terrorist attack in your town, and you happen to have a .50 caliber Barret? Be a pussy and cry for help, or actually help? You would help. This video in a nutshell is basically "OH MY GOD KIDS IN THE US ARE USING GUNS BETTER MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT IT"
Oh, hey look it's a highly opinionated, agenda filled documentary filmed by a crew that lives in a country where firearms are banned that will only explore one side of the subject and attempt to make it look as bad as humanly possible. Can't wait.
I agree with this. They are literraly blaming America because British kids have guns. What the fuck. Nothing wrong with teaching young ones gun safety. But not at 5. More like 10 or 11.
Ha Ha! Take that UK! We're influencing your children to DEATH Ok not really, the only influences I really know about would be rap crap that spews out of every shitty cellphone speaker around here. I've seen ONE firearm add on TV, and that was by a local gunsmith. It's not like we have massive billboards proclaiming that every child should be handed a gun and learn for themselves
I love how it says "The U.S. Constitution gives Americans the right to bear arms", and then it goes shows every kind of fully automatic weapon that is NOT available to civilians (or at least they're not unless you jump through a crapload of legal hoops to get a gun that was made before 1989. The mounted mg42s do not count... Seriously, who has a mount for 2 machine guns and isn't some sort of firearms dealer, military personal, or federal/state official etc...).
Guns don't kill people: People kill people. Oh and stupid people who don't know how guns work kill people. Also, the same arguments in this video against guns could be used against driving cars too.
I shot an MG42, M2HB 50 .Cal machine gun, and an M16 when I was 4 years old. And I am fuck damn proud of it
If anything introducing your kids to guns teaches them how powerful they are and how dangerous they REALLY can be.
Even if you stopped selling all guns legally, criminals would still get their hands on them. Dumb logic.
If anything introducing your kids to guns teaches them how powerful they are and how dangerous they REALLY can be.
That's funny how you perceived that. Have you ever fired a firearm? I've been shooting since I was thirteen, a variety of weapons and paper targets, a few clay birds and what not. I've never once felt 'powerful' or 'dangerous' I've never considered using my guns to do anything other than harmless recreation and if god forbid the situation was dire enough self defense. Historians with their collections come to fire them off and share them with the public, the US Army Sponsors it and they even come in and shoot up some targets with Little Birds, not to mention they loan the range some Mini-Guns for people to play around with under supervision and what not. [editline]1st April 2011[/editline]
I've lived in New York State all my memorable life, and I have never shot an actual gun.
To be fair New York State hates gun owners. It's one of the most legally backwards state in the Union. You have to jump through hoops to get conceal carry and even then it's not worth it because unless you're A. Cop or B. Someone important enough (Business Owners, Bankers etc.) they won't even give you one in the end. But hey, that's 'okay' I guess. Except they don't allow the sale of Tasers, Pepper Spray, Mace or Batons either. What the hell do they want us to do?
kids shooting guns is okay but owning it I no like
HEY AGENDA WIELDING UK! THE REASON YOU GET SO MUCH GUN CRIME AT TEENAGE YEARS IS BECAUSE YOU DIDNT TEACH THEM HOW TO PROPERLY USE ONE! And we're the bad guys here? Methinks some UK citizens needs to re-examine this news company's stance and power on the subject.
Firearms are largely illegal in the UK unless you have Collectors Licenses or Hunting Licenses or what not. I'm not sure the specifics but they're not easily obtainable so educating kids on firearms that they wouldn't even possess isn't legally or physically possible for the average person.
Obligatory Bean-O post inbound. That documentary looks so one-sided and inaccurate it makes my eyes burn. But then again it's just the trailer. I want to see the whole thing to find out if it is more or less biased than it looks. But if they show ONE good thing about gun ownership in the US I'd be surprised. That and they're making it look like gun ownership in America is making kids in the UK all crazy. Evel Knievel couldn't have made that leap. Anyone know where I can see it?
