Huge respect for bringing some common sense and proper debate level to this thread. On Facepunch, discussing in favour of feminism is worse than supporting Putin.
It is impossible to take your posts seriously when every third word is fuck or shit and every argument boils down to you calling someone or something stupid with zero reasoning.
Is is laughable that you chew him out for citing relevant statistics from a credible source, when your own sources are nothing but anecdoctal work experience.
You were offered to prove that the cited statistics are not relevant, but your reply implies that you didn't understand or read these statistics anyway.
That the roots of gender issues go deeper than gaming(no shit) means that Feminist Frequency is "horrible and bullshit" and that they "completely undermine real feminists and shit all over gaming." ? I would like to hear you elaborate on that.
Is spreading awareness of sexual harassment at workplaces also "horrible and bullshit" because workplaces aren't the root cause?
The statistics are for the EU and nothing to do with the games industry and is going off nothing more than "Well its like this for this so it SHOULD be like this for the game industry dont you think?" This is as worthless as my anecdotal shit and is doing nothing more than giving the impression its more valid for whatever reason because "statistics"
Plus the EU certaintly isnt the biggest when it comes to the games industry
Ill ask you this.
Go out and find me 3 decently known companies, preferably an actual employer(so not like an indie 3 person team) In the game industry that have clear issues with women working at them.
Dont you think if this was such a massive issue in the industry more women would be coming out in mass? We live in a time where your employeer cannot get away with that shit really, at least in the USA where a majority of video game companies are.
Seriously, if this was such a epidemic in the game industry for women then more women would be coming out and showing how fucked some companies are, but that doesnt happen.
Why?
You get me that then ill start taking it more seriously.
The problem with asking of which developers have problems with women in the workplace is that it's fully possible that said women are afraid to speak up in fear of losing their job.
Some of them likely have fun at their work, others may be miserable but not publicly airing their dirty laundry for fear of being harassed and such.
Either that or they're afraid of speaking up because the internet likes to shit-sling women for the littlest of things. Look what happened to people like Hepler: constant dogpiling. Doesn't help one user in *this very thread* used the old 4chan "hamburger helper" name for her, which is demeaning.
Yeah, there's likely women who are having a ball and enjoying their career, but that doesn't mean "THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH WOMEN IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY AND WE SHOULDN'T CHANGE *A THING!*" That's what people are trying to say.

But no one is saying ""THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH WOMEN IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY AND WE SHOULDN'T CHANGE *A THING!*" here
