this might be my absolute love of soldier 76 fucking my opinion, but i don't see how anyone could rate this worse than alive

Never saw the first animated short, knew it was all just Widowmaker and Tracer ass galore and "OooOOoh" moments, but I thought I should check this "Hero" one out.
As I expected, everything about it is :vomit:
The gorilla in space one was the only Overwatch short that I really liked. The animation is great on all of them, but the story on all the others don't really get me "into it" as much as the gorilla.

No doubt that Chris Metzen really is an unsuitable writer, but I don't see how this cannot be salvageable; picking someone else up while still following what the original designers had in mind (obviously not Metzen's direction, but you know what I mean) would be a best case scenario. Again though, probably won't happen since Blizzard still sees him as an important asset for some reason.

he had character, though it wasn't that developed compared to others.

And I think this whole PG13 thing for the movies was caused by the artstyle being too disney-like.
I wouldn't be surprised if they tried doing a human death but someone complained that it looked really unfitting
