Hang on a second. Tank destroyers? What are they trying to pull here?
Hang on a second. Tank destroyers? What are they trying to pull here?
The maps will be saturated with tanks, you need something stronger than the regular infantry combos to take them out.
Hang on a second. Tank destroyers? What are they trying to pull here?
Very lightly armored, but very fast vehicles with a standard tank cannon mounted on em. This was one of the TD vehicles that was visible in the kill feed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2S25_Sprut-SD

Finally, more snow maps.
It looks awesome! And free is even more awesome.
Since when has it been free?
Hang on a second. Tank destroyers? What are they trying to pull here?
pretty much APC's with 120's on them, nothing special. They get their own set of perks though apparently.
>AC-130 >Tank Destroyers >MLRS Shut up and take my god damn money.
It's EA, of course they'll take your money. But anyways, I'm getting this.
I would buy it if I didn't boycott EA
You can't actually fly the AC-130. It just flies around the map on it's own. You can only take control of the guns.
dumb
Did I just see a flaming spookly gunship wail on some jets? Instant buy for me.
I decided to read up a bit on the M270 MLRS on wikipedia:
US military operators refer to the M270 as "the commander's personal shotgun" or as "battlefield buckshot.". It is also commonly referred to as the "Gypsy Wagon", because crews store additional equipment such as camouflage netting, cots, coolers, and personal items on top of the vehicle as the launcher itself lacks adequate storage space for the crew. Within the British military a common nickname is "Grid Square Removal System", a play on the initialism GSRS (from the older General Support Rocket System). With the adoption of the new M30 GPS guided rocket it is now being referred to as the "70 kilometer sniper rifle." During the 1991 Gulf War, the Iraqis referred to the small M77 submunitions rockets as the "Steel Rain."
I'm going to refer to it as the "Grid Square Removal System" now :v:
Yeah got to give them this, it looks awesome. I think this will actually make me get xbox live again and get back into battlefield 3.
The money I saved not buying Close Quarters can be used on this instead.
Well shit... That looks great. What doesn't looks great is the fact that I don't have dosh neither for it nor for a computer good enough to run it like that.
I really hope they have enough vehicles for a 64 player server. It fucking sucks in games with huge maps when assholes take all the vehicles and you get stuck having to leg it to the front line.
It was a B-17, and you could actually fly that plane, in this you can't fly the AC-130, it circles the map like a call of duty kill streak.
You can clearly see that there are two players in the AC-130, I'm assuming one of them is the pilot.
It looks awesome! And free is even more awesome.
Too bad it's $15.
Incoming ATV suicide bombings
If only BF3 ran smooth on my computer :smith: It bothers me because I even got an Intel i5 and a ENGTX 560 Ti. I should be able to run it on high but I am forced to run it on low, and even then I get stuttering and fps drops.
How much VRAM on that 560ti?
You can clearly see that there are two players in the AC-130, I'm assuming one of them is the pilot.
Based on previews of the DLC you can clearly see that those seats are just for the two players acting as gunners.
You can clearly see that there are two players in the AC-130, I'm assuming one of them is the pilot.
You can clearly see from the rest of the thread, every bit of information given out on the AC-130 in the DLC, and quotes directly from the Devs, the AC-130 will not be flyable, it circles the map just like they do in call of duty.
Perhaps a dumb question, but if I buy premium now, will I get back to karkand and Close quarters too?
Perhaps a dumb question, but if I buy premium now, will I get back to karkand and Close quarters too?
I don't see why you wouldn't.
I don't see why you wouldn't.
Thought it might be like ps+, that you have to be member of it when something is released, otherwise you don't get it.
So did they just put a blackhawk on the cover to make it look nice? :(
I think I read somewhere the new "huge map" is only 500 meters larger than Caspian Border.. that doesn't seem very much bigger, especially if its vehicle oriented. I'm just kind of sad I have to pay money for this DLC, when its what I wanted out of battlefield 3 in the first place.
Since when has it been free?
Okay, not free. Lets just say I already paid for it with Premium.
the sand map looks so simple, yet so awesome. admit it, old school big ass deserted terrain is perfect for "real" combat showdowns.
