I love the idea of making you feel like an outsider just for seeing the world differently (or in this case, for not participating in a giant lie). The entire premise is just so wonderfully disturbing.
wouldn't be surprised if they've localised the language for Americans because they may not understand British lingo which is fucking stupid but welcome to publishers catering to American taste
I'd like to believe that people know what "sweets" refers to regardless of dialect
I need a solid release date from this game so bad. I want to get my hands on it as soon as its available.

Does anyone know the song that was used in the trailer? I could barely make out any lyrics.
The old gameplay we saw a little while ago was pretty mediocre and seemed to lack focus. If the whole game plays like what we saw here, then it might end up being pretty good.

Not a bad thing, imo.

Oh man, I've been looking forward to this for a while now. This game could easily shape up to be a masterpiece of dystopian and retro-futurism.
I've kind of followed this game since the first trailer last year, and I also watched some gameplay of it, I was very sad because it looked like a cool story\design tacked on an uninspired gameplay and rough graphics - the graphics got really polished, the designs are pretty much the same just with better quality in the actual model\smoothing\texture department. I'm happy they're going to do this more like British Pathologic - there is a story, and you also happen to have to survive - instead of going "yeah it's basically just a survival game but every now and then we'll throw a bone at you".
Updated the OP with a better version of the trailer minus guy standing.
Update! There's now a version of this trailer with more gameplay it's something at least.

No but at least it's more gameplay :v:. I do like how it looks now compared to the older footage we had last year, looks more refined.
I have to admit, getting zapped into unconsciousness and waking up a day later to a "NOTHING TO SEE HERE" sign in your face was pretty damn amusing. It looks a bit weird gameplay-wise but certainly a hell of a concept.
I like the things I'm hearing in the IGN trailer, looks like Compulsion really cares for what their backers say. I think Imma grab this game in EA and help too.
The concept is great but seeing what they currently got clearly shows it is going to need a lot of polish.
UPDATE!: We Happy Few will be $30 on Steam and Xbone, and We Happy Few Coming to GoG.
Of course there's no PS4 port. Once again continuing the trend of the PS4 getting fucked over with games.

To be honest I'm kind of disappointed that it's a procedurally generated survival crafting game.
To be honest I'm kind of disappointed that it's a procedurally generated survival crafting game.
yeah no kidding. they took a genuinely interesting concept and did the most uninteresting thing with it
Looks like it plays almost like Dying Light with emphasis on survival and Hitman styled stealth. Wish it didn't say "HOLD X TO REMEMBER". That Call of Duty meme made every QTE prompt with significant/hard choices seem like a joke now.
I saw a friend play the beta(?) version. It didn't really look that good, but this was like 2 years ago I think? If you enjoy the extended gameplay trailer gameplay, then you'll probably like it.
I'm gonna slam money down the moment this game comes out. LOOKS SOOOOO GOOD!
