I'm not going to put subtitles in a game because it breaks immersion to have words on the screen and ruins my artistic vision, the hearing-impaired can just fuck off.
Man if you're going to have basically everything trigger a voice response at least have the sense to put in enough lines to stave off repitition.
I'm losing count of how many times he said "I'm losing count"
I disappointed they gave the minisentry engy teleporters and dispensers, I know that's the purpose of the armor drop thing but it still kinda feels lack luster in comparison not having that extra micro management.
Symmetra doesn't actually have dispensers. She has mini-turrets, a teleporter (which I think behaves more like a spawn point as opposed to TF2 teleporters), and a shield she can deploy on allies.

Her teleporters act as a spawn point but also act as a teleporter. As in when she deploys it, allies can walk through it to teleport but when they die and respawn they can choose(?) to spawn at the teleporter exit.
I thought this guy was gonna be shit, but it looks pretty easy to build up your ult to get a lvl 3 and spam armor everywhere.

48 players will most likely never happen.
Think they are forcing the "1 unique character per team" thing, instead of like, having 4 different Reapers or 3 different Torbjorns.
ok no one does 1 of each anyway and if each person has diffrent load outs and hopefully attachments to weapons and armor then why not?
the way of the future
Overwatchs looks fucking great don't give ten fucks what the Hat Sim fanboys think.
i wanna see pharrah gameplay next
she's my favorite design so far and i wanna see how she plays

She looks cool but her voice acting is kinda crap imo.
Yeah, that "justice rains from above" line is like nails on chalkboard for me :v:

Actually, he has made at least two ironic games, both received well by FP. They both look like this, too:
i want to play this but if they want to be better than tf2 then really try at it with the future in mind, i feel they should
-48 player max
-more options for sentries to choose/equip from even one you can ride or use(cool game modes)
-maybe a little drop ship that can hold 3 people or mini tractor that can hold 4 people and you can fire from...this would could start some cool game modes too
sorry to break it to ya bud but they're not trying to be better than tf2, they're just making a shooter that's all
damn, these TF2 updates got really wild since I had last played it
Game looks awesome... Just hoping they fix that FoV...
That and the gigantic weapon models.
I want to like the game but it looks like it'll just be very tiring to play. It's like playing with a pair of these:
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/10/Horse_Blinkers_(4240744343).jpg[/t]
I hope they add a fov slider, or a way to reduce the weapon models.
In TF2 I use console commands to reduce the weapon models size, otherwise they take up too much of the screen.
this game looks like shit tbh
terrible art style imo, blatantly a rip off tf2 (and vastly inferior). What made tf2 so good was mainly the charismatic well designed characters and the cartoony world they're set in, this game has a mechanical dwarf with a name I'm afraid to pronounce. Everything about it screams generic, dull and ripped off. Also that gun covers half the screen (not to mention you will have almost no vision at all each time you reload) and sounds like a pea-shooter, how anyone is even excited for this blows my mind.

Yeah, I can appreciate this as TF2 with a squad-based 5v5 out of the box for better communication and teamwork
But I can't appreciate it for the voice acting/constant voice responses. It's like TF2's NEED A DISPENSA HERE NEED A DISPENSA HERE NEED A DISPENSA HERE, but the game itself is doing it
Also the FOV etc. but that's beating a dead horse

I agree that the characters need more voice lines, hearing McCree say "whoa hold up" every time he uses the flashbang is gonna be really grating
but I guess they'll add more voicelines as development continues (hopefully) and maybe they'll wisen up on the fov and weapon model sizes
really really really hope blizzard add fov slider/options & view model adjusting/straight up toggle, otherwise overwatch is looking super fun
Sorry, I didn't know only positive thoughts were allowed in this thread.
Clearly negative points are allowed here, for example the FoV issue / weapon viewmodel sizes. Coming here just to say that it's a "ripoff" of TF2 and that you wonder how anyone can be excited for it is just shows you have no interest in the topic and wanted to be snarky. Final Combat is a ripoff of TF2, Overwatch really isn't. There is a huge difference.

There's negative thoughts, and then there's blatant antagonizing.

I'm doubtful. Usually VO work is done once. If it isn't, the voices are wonky when the actors fail to replicate their first performance a couple months down the line (See: All of TF2's new lines)
MOLTEN COREEEEE
I wasn't watching in fullscreen, so for the first 5 minutes of that video I thought it said "soup" instead of "scrap", and I seriously thought he was powering his gun and his turret with molten hot soup.
I don't know, it's not that the gameplay doesn't look fun but the artstyle just feels really uninspired to me still. Maybe when I get my hands on it I'll feel differently, but for now I'm not terribly interested.

I explained my issues with it, and pointed out the striking resemblance to tf2. Ok it's not a ripoff in the sense of a direct clone, but it's obviously trying to be a tf2 style game as best as it can. My comment wasn't pure hate, I genuinely see nothing exciting in this.
i just hope they make loadouts for the loaouts you know what i mean
and dont tell me they arent trying to make a better tf2
