Guy Freaks Out After Girlfriend Deletes His WoW Characters - General

She should have just given him an ultimatum...

I think it's stupid to get worked up over any game like that. If she destroyed the computer itself or something like that, then he'd have every right to get pissed. I'd get pissed if someone broke my PC or my 360. Would I get pissed if my saves were deleting in my favorite games? No. It would be disheartening, but I would never get all worked up over it. It's stupid in general to invest that much time and effort into something with no payoff, like WoW.

I'd be much more pissed off if someone intentionally came in and deleted all my maps, models, textures I'm working on. I mean yeah, spending a lot of time with a character in a game then having them disappear the next second can be upsetting. But people need to learn to calm down and contact the help desk and get things figured out. No need to punch a good looking monitor.

Well it's kind of a dick move. If I had a girlfriend that was on facebook all day (or something i dunno shit leave me alone) I wouldn't try to find her password and then fuck her profile up and make her lose all her fri-- ok that's a bit overkill. But my point is that you talk and think about it before taking action. I'm sure he's not 100% unreasonable or unnegotianable.

If i spent every waking moment of my life from birth working on those characters and someone just turns around and decides "Hurp Imma delete these" i would do a fuck load more than simply punch my monitor. It's the progress that you make that makes it fun. Now when someone just deletes all that progress away, you can never go back to where you were, you must start over completely while wishing you could be where you were before, it will most likely infuriate you. Imagine if you were working on a sculpture. You have put years of work into it. It's not the finished design that you love, it's the process and progress that you love seeing. Now imagine someone completely destroying it. There is no way to get it back. You will never see your work ever again. You must start over completely. That is the frustration this man endured. In no way is punching your monitor going to make things better. Unless you don't mind taking your frustration out on your things and purchasing new ones. Anger management is very useful.
