Garry was inspired by the early JBMod when he made GMod, and his mod became more popular. Then JBMod died.

I find it kinda absurd for them to just remove JBMod from workshop without knowing the full story. There's obviously no point in adding it when GMod is already around, but the variety of choice won't hurt anyone would it? If they sell JBMod, people will buy it and Valve will still get a cut from it. It's a win-win.
