One of my biggest pet peeves with facepunchers in relation to war games/movies/equipment in them is that they use "tacticool" everywhere. A laser sight [i]and[/i] a scope? Tacticool, no one does it in real life. A scope set up that can acquire both close and long distance targets? Tacticool. Rails? Tacticool. Its like the only way it can be "realistic" in their eyes is if everyone has stock m16s and no extra gear or anything, which is infact unrealistic.
