I feel trailers these past couple of years have been kind of lack-luster and unoriginal, I think this trailer really rekindled my faith in the art of trailers.
Goddamn what a hype building teaser.

For some reason the image got me more hyped:

das big
Now that is how you do a teaser for a trailer. God damn. Didn't show too much, but showed enough to definitely perk interest.
Hnng.
i wonder how big its shit is.

They get money off of ad revenue from people coming in to see their trailer. Plus its easier for them to check out demographs of what kinds of people are checking out the movies trailer, helps them budget out their marketing better as well, when everyone comes in and looks at the trailer for the site they provide on their own.
I'm almost never psyched out by shit like this, but I have a stack of Godzilla VHS from my childhood and when I saw they obviously kept the old look I was already down.
Plus the Oppenheimer excerpt was a beautiful, albeit simple, gesture to say they're in touch with the IP's background.
Simply awesome.
I will be so disappointed if I don't hear his theme song in the movie.
Pacific Rim/Godzilla mashup trailer at the end of the movie
Calling it.
Mother of God, I think I'm crying.
[sp]Looks like hes fighting another monster in the trailer, I really hope that's the case[/sp]

no offense but that's pretty damn obvious :v:
Holy shit, amazing trailer alert.
I got goose bumps the size of nipples after watching the trailer. Is it just me or is that Mothera dead?

Del Toro was offered a behind-the-scenes look at Godzilla, but he turned it down because he didn't want to spoil the movie for himself.
Upon reflection this is actually one of the best trailers I've ever seen.
I'm digging the lack of constant rain and blue tinge over everything. That's a bit of a step up.
Now to avoid any subsequent trailers so I don't see spoilers.
They've removed the videos
It's great that they used that quote from Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, of which Godzilla is a metaphor.

Was worried when I first heard of the movie.
After this trailer, it seems like they are on the right track.

Another trailer link.
Chills.
Will it take place in tokyo? I mean I can't really imagine a Godzilla film taking place outside of japan.

Tokyo and San Fran from the looks of things.
I like how all the dust and shit displaces as he roars.
That roar is just so iconic.
Got bored. Made this.
