I'm not really a big Kanye/Hip Hop fan but what I heard on Yeezus I liked, especially Black Skinhead. What the fuck is this?
i dont know about you people but i think this is hilarious :v:
ever thought that some people like this? not everyone wants to listen to music that is about nothing but technical ability (which for some reason seems to be what most of fp seems to think is the only qualifier for 'music') and it's not about listening to something easy. a lot of the latest kanye album is challenging stuff. it's very dissonant and jumps around a lot. it's really interesting to listen to. i don't care whether you like it or not, that's fine, but jumping in and saying "this isn't good" is fucking stupid
ahuh honey, you just keep on thinkin that :v:
this is awesome lmao
Kanye Bound 2 stages of grief: Denial - "No, the video is intentionally this terrible and the song is really good!" Anger - "Kanye, what happened? Touch the Sky was so good!" Bargaining - "Go back to the MBDTF era that was great! I'll buy concert tickets!" Depression - *sobbing quietly* Acceptance - ???
bound 2 is a great song though. lmao at all the upset MBDTF fanboys itt
Uh he's still a really good artist.
Yeah Kanye totally is a good artist. Yeah no
[sp]secret man[/sp]
maybe it's just my own misinterpretation but people like this sort of make me feel like they think that they're somehow superior to others for 'being able to appreciate music that's hard for most people to understand,' when you're sort of just putting up with annoying music and thinking it's an achievement
that's just you putting your own negative spin on an abstract and completely subjective art form that doesn't really have any intention or purpose that anyone can nail down fair play if you don't like something but not liking it because you think it exists as a way to talk down to you, or for other people to use as a way to talk down to you, is your own issue, not the issue of the art. tbh i think it's a bit sad

Wait wait wait you're listening to that song on average 10 times a day, assuming you bought yeezus on release?
lol that's fucking terrible. Especially the out of place "NUHUHUH HONEY" and the transitions. I don't even mind the video I get what he was getting at. But the "music"... wow. Go ahead and tell me that putting soundbites in random places or using transitions that don't fit together at all is "artistic".
the most epic zinger of all time: putting the word music into quotations nice job, you totally owned me and my interest in music
If I'd record myself reading something that rhymes from time to time with some youtube poop in the background it would be as much music as this. If you'd consider something like that music, then I apologize for putting music into quotations.

The more I hear this song the more its growing on me.. wtf. The only part I hate is the 'uh huh honey' sounds retarded.

The instrumental sample is nice tbh, it's fairly lo-fi probably because it's a rare recording. It's the most understated use of a funk sample but I like it.
are you talking shit about summertime?
talkin' bout yo mama too

Talk about closed-mindedness lol. Putting random soundbites and transitions that don't fit is a poor attempt at music in my opinion, hence the quotations marks. It was like playing out of tune on purpose. And seriously? Attacker of feminism? I don't have the least problem with equality as long as it's not "it's wrong to judge people based on their race, gender and sexuality but all white straight men are bad and the source of all problems" kind of equality.
bound 2 isn't even hard to understand. it's just a funk/soul sample with rapping over it, with occasional interruptions by charlie wilson's godlike voice. like wtf, if you think this is hard to understand you're just being difficult. no one is stupid enough to actually think that [editline]25th November 2013[/editline] it's the most standard hip hop ever
So all the arguments you've used were insults and adhominem
there's not so much left in the bottom of the barrel when someone's post is "you call this """music""" hah *snorts* this is not music it is just [insert a selection of subjective adjectives]"
what the hell is this? what's with all these random voice clips in the background? he's talking over it? why are there kids singing now? fuck this avant garde bullshit!!!
