good riddance
Would be better if it was forever.
Sex negative feminism sucks.
It's not really a minority of the more reasonable feminists, it's a major segregation of Gender Feminists and Equity Feminists with entirely separate idealogies http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/evolutionary-entertainment/201205/giving-feminism-bad-name It's not an extreme minority, it's a completely different and opposing idealogy that is being pushed and is extremely harmful to the point of hyjacking (or it has already hyjacked) the feminist movement. When 70% of people say they are not feminists but 65% of people believe there needs to be more equality, there's something obviously very wrong here. The problem is not with people but with the definition of the feminism movement itself.
There is also the Trans Exclusive Radical Feminists which I want to rip the eyeballs out of. Combine this "OMG PATRIARCHY IS OPPRESSING US!!! HE LOOKED AT ME RAAAAAAAAAPE!" with extreme, almost WBC style bigotry towards transgenders. They seriously believe that MtF transsexuals are "evil rapist men who try to infiltrate the womans blah blah blah"
Sex negative feminism sucks.
Next time someone makes an illustration of a muscly, shirtless man I'm gonna yell "MISANDRYYYY" at the top of my lungs, because to be honest that's bordering on the same thing these people are doing. It's like the video Maddox did on the female Spiderman. Sex is not bad. Why do people keep painting it as such?
This entire shirt thing is literally a mix of people who are trying to be relevant by 'taking a stand' against this 'evil' shirt (lmao) and people who have just lost their marbles and are falling into the trap of a victim complex. It's disappointing that a movement for equality is being exploited by people like this for their own gain.

They keep trying to "no true scotsman'ing" their way out of it. If anything, they should deal with them fucking nutjobs, which tampers and affects their overall credibility - but then again, that'd be like asking Catholics and Evengelists to get rid of the WBC, which they won't.

I think a lot of it comes down to bored millennials looking for ~their struggle~. Sadly in 2014 there aren't overt injustices being committed on a systematic scale, or at least not ones fashionable enough or easy enough to go after. So channeling all of that concentrated zealotry and hyperbole into petty inconsequential things is the name of the game. I'm sure 60 years from now, when an 80 year old millenial is talking to his or her grandchildren, they'll go on endlessly about fighting in the First Feminist Cohort and taking down a sexists shirt wearing literally Hitler. "I was armed only with a semi-automatic twitter account, capable of a 140 characters per minute, I was literally shaking with anger in my chair, now I know how your great great misogynistic grandpa felt storming the beaches of cis-priveleged France."
people who are offended by a shirt and complain that it is the reason women are struggling to break into Science clearly do not have the mental strength or maturity to work in STEM fields anyway.
