I'm friends with the Suicide Girl in the batwoman costume in the video, she flipped out when I told her who was in the costume hahaha. I guess she missed out on taking a photo with him later.
Going incognito is fun which is why I like to cosplay. No one has any idea who's under the costume and it let's people go out and do stuff where they were anxious before.

I went for a Sniper Joe meets Protoman look. here's a bigass picture of it It's not without it's problems though. I started having to wear tennis shoes with it since the red boots I had were a size too big and hurt to walk a while in, which totally sucks because I'm a huge stickler for details and small things can make/break a cosplay imo. The shield is like 20-30 pounds and strapped to my arm the whole con. So at the end of it my left are is pretty much out of commission for a good few days. Also I'm really unsatisfied with the helmet, but it's pretty much the best I can do. I mean it was my first cosplay so. The best part is my favorite con is Magfest and for some reason Megaman cosplay is huge there, so many like minded people

But like you said one of the most funnest part about it is being somewhat anonymous.
I wouldn't mind cosplaying, but I'm not a craftsman at all.

Adam Savage is a damned god amongst men.
I wouldn't mind cosplaying, but I'm not a craftsman at all.
Good news is there's plenty of cosplays and costumes to buy or rent. It's even better when it have a friend where you can borrow it from.
Should have installed a fan in the helmet.
I think he wanted it to fog up though?
I think he wanted it to fog up though?
Yeah. Adam was attempting to get the full experience of what the actors wearing the suit (very very similar in construction intentionally) felt, as he states in the video I believe.
I'm not doubting Adam's craftsmanship or anything, but why didn't he just very lightly spray the inside with paint to get the fogged look, and install some fans. So, y'know, he wouldn't almost die in it.
I'm fairly certain Adam Savage is clever enough to build a suit that looks thick and padded but is actually very light, his goal was however as stated in the video to replicate how the actors felt in these costumes during filming.
Adam Savage knows how to build anything with anything. The fact that he made the suit by washing it with darks and other shit to simulate actual wear is amazing. The amount of detail he uses is incredible.
Met Adam and Jamie at last years SDCC, awesome guy.
I wouldn't mind cosplaying, but I'm not a craftsman at all.
I bought a $12 suit, $5 tie, $5 white shirt, a $10 gas mask and 2 dollar store toy pistols for a Mr. Foster cosplay. No crafting at all.
adam savage would do a killer gordon freeman cosplay imo and would probably make a dope ass hev suit

I'm so glad Adam Savage is so humble about his fame, he's really down to earth from what alot of people tell me.
I'm so glad Adam Savage is so humble about his fame, he's really down to earth from what alot of people tell me.
It's pretty obvious that he really cares about his fans. At the SDCC thing, they were signing autographs, and the SDCC people were saying to not take photos, but Adam and Jamie had their own people take pictures for people.
although this is pretty great and i know adam likes to wear everything down from his blade runner gun to even the box he made for the gun, there are a couple of minor annoyances with this suit. it says dallas on the nameplate even though he built it using kane as an inspiration and says it's kane's suit, the facehugger was upside down, and the actors did not in fact wear cold vests inside their suits, the studio had to build in fans to keep the actors cool.
I love this game. Works every year.
I wouldn't mind cosplaying, but I'm not a craftsman at all.
Same. If someone gave me a suit to wear I would go all in on it. I love when cosplayers get into the character

He even says that the vest crapped out after around five minutes so really by the time he was all suited up and walking around it was like he wasn't even wearing it in the first place.
Impressive, I'm guessing there's quite a few cases of people passing out in costumes at conventions then. Then again I guess most costumes are constructed with much cheaper, lighter materials.
