When will it get released?
Were not sure at the moment, it still needs a lot doing to it...
Wow!
Looks like so much fun.
Closed Beta is tonight, see Steam Group for details!
Here's a bit of a filler video to tide you over until I edit the next Car Hunt video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thQGpuNYY1Y
Something like this is only really fun for the people in the gunship though, and if you spread the hunt over too large an area it quickly gets impossible for the pilots and boring for the people in the cars. But something like getting to the plane like that looks like it could be fun :v:

You, driving a red range rover, down a pitch black road with only the lights on your car for illumination, you have the audio on full blast listening in and hoping not to hear even the faintest sound of a propeller. Then out of nowhere you have a chopper filled with a million explosives diving on, firing rockets that some how miss your car and explode all around you. You drive your car into the nearest forest (which in turn causes your car to go from 100 km/h to about 20 km/h). Well you are hiding the chopper is firing missiles and machine gun rounds into the forest all around you, some rounds bouncing off your car slowly damaging it, maybe even destroying it to the point where you have to run on foot. But luckily for you some guy in a police car with the sirens flashing zooms by and catches the attention of the chopper and they continue down the road away from you. It gets scary fast when you're surprised by an Apache and the only thing that can count as cover is a small bush to your left.
why did i never think of this. i used to do this all the time with mates on gta4 - uh60thing vs bikes. arma is perfect for this
We'll be announcing another Closed Beta soon, if you want in on it please join the group so we can all let you know on whats happening.

Hell of a bump but for good reason, we will be releasing the old files for ARMA2:Carhunt soon as were currently working on an ARMA 3 version, more info here. Stay Tuned lads.
Can you have a large number of AA emplacements come to life when someone reaches the finish line?
Were going to be adding "Service Points" for repair of cars that will have light AA coverage and a end game that features SPAAG and APC's.
Some good news and some bad news. Good news is that we have found the old Carhunt files, bad news is that it was the Sigma Cars edition. You will need to download the relevant mods for it to work. In other news we have made some headway with the game-mode in A3, the first Altis version is being tested by us all at the moment and we should be able to release the alpha at some point in the next few weeks(We will update it as we go). I'll post a link to Carhunt and the required mods later on tonight, just need to make sure there still on armaholic. Could i also get a rollcall on who would be interested in testing the new one out? It's all vanilla so no need to download mods.
Holy shit this is ancient. It actually inspired me to make a similar mission with cows when it came out.
Holy shit this is ancient. It actually inspired me to make a similar mission with cows when it came out.
That's pretty funny, we made similar thing called "Manhunt" on Utes island. Might remake that actually, we had custom police cars. Also, you can find the original Carhunt: Sigma Edition here. You will need Sigma Cars and ASC EU Lights for this mod to work, as well as having A2 and A2:OA. I haven't tested it recently so there is a big chance it may not work at all.
