That scene at 0:55 scared the shit out of me as a kid, the episode was about that bridge and a train that once fell off it. It was utterly horrifying and yet captivating, like a car crash. I couldn't stop watching but it was so fucking scary, made me uneasy watching it again :v:
holy shit man, I remember that. So horrifying. Wasn't that a movie or something?
I also vaguely remember a Thomas movie but with real people in it... and it had that royal purple engine. Lady, I think her name was.
Fuck the episode with the haunted bridge and the one with the ball. Shit was too spooky for my little head.
I remember this vividly, this is all I did with my toy Thomas the Tank Engine trains, set up a complex track and story, just to have it end in some horrific accident. Then I grew up and used Lego trains, and the accidents involved small figures and the trains flying apart. What the fuck was wrong with me as a child?
this has been the best thing i've seen all day, thanks man

I posted the episode that scene was from already:
I found the episode, I was half right:

The engine falling in was a ghost story, but the trucks was just another of their suicidal pranks.
And yeah, there was a movie, it was called Thomas and the Magic Railroad. That's also where that psycho with the claw on his head was from.
You're also right, that purple engine's name was Lady.
What a trainwreck!
Watching this video has made me go back over some episodes of the show, I think the crash at 3:05 in the compilation was a premeditated murder

Think about it, Donald injures himself, gets temporarily replaced by James, James can't handle the job, Douglas has to help, and then he "accidentally" crushes his biggest detractor, and delayed Hatt's decision on their removal in the process.
Which ghost one? There were quite a few of episodes with ghost stories.
I will agree though, that boulder was seriously disturbing, with that face:

That one was actually pretty sad in the end.
The boulder's face always reminded me of Gordon for some reason.
Oh god, that very first one and the one fifty seconds in used to scare the everloving crap out of me when I was a kid.
Should be replaced with this:
The trailer had a different voice actor, but they changed it due to it being a little too threatening. There was suppose to be a motorcycle biker villain aswell.
Reading the BTS material on that film kinda ruins how the film stands in my memory in regards to how it could be better.
Still, I loved that thing as a kid. Saw the DVD countless times until I ruined it with popcorn butter stains.
