Delta Airline made an internet "themed" saftey video

How many pointless references can you stuff in a single video? This has got to be like a Guinness record or something.
I think they also put the internet stuff in there to try to get people to pay more attention. I mean, a safety video without one is really boring and people won't pay much attention, but a lot of people like the internet, so it'd likely make people view it more closely.
Seriously? No bane posting with the masks? That's all I was waiting for.....
Showing a terrorist threatening to crash an airplane tends to not work well on airline videos.
i was surprised by how far back they went
The cutoffs to each sound associated with each reference is what felt out of place to me.

should've crashed the plane at the end too
I feel out of touch since I didn't get half the memes
It's not truly internet "themed" without 9/11
Sorry.
I'll admit, the pilot holding up mentos made me laugh.
Was it a joke? I don't know. But I laughed.
I fly Delta all the time, all of their safety videos have gotten like this. They're fun imo
This wasn't anywhere near as cringey as it could have been, but it still feels like refrences just for the sake of refrences.

I had the 80s one last time I flew. I thought it was a pretty novel way to do a safety video. I liked it.

It's supposed to still stay informative but also keep your attention while the plane taxis to the runway. Would you rather the same mundane crap or a slightly more interesting, maybe conversation inducing video while you do the most boring part of a flight. Sure it's completely planned viral marketing - but who cares?
Honestly, it's probably going to make a lot of people actually pay attention since these are references they will understand.
That maymay was never funny to begin with though
"[x] meme was never even funny in the first place! look how unique i am!" has become a meme in itself
and it was never even funny in the first place
That maymay was never funny to begin with though
nah because it's the type of humour that kind of grows on you
The references to "memes" is obviously to get the attention of children watching the video.
This can't be aimed towards adults. [sp]god helps us all if it actually is[/sp]

Some of the memes featured in the video are literally before the birth of anyone that can be reasonably considered a child
Their remixes are some spooky shit;

Wow, that's not even a shiba. Unacceptable.
I'm more distracted by that guy's plastic-looking teeth.

Maybe it's because I'm British?
it has memes its obviously terrible we hate popular things!!
its there to get attention
whether you like it or not, their tactic sure as hell works, we're here discussing it for two pages already
I preferred the other airline that did the six hour plane ride simulation with manikins. That was the zenith of airline marketing, it will never be topped.
