Wait, so there will be more Paranormal Activity movies? Oh.
Are you fucking kidding me, I came out of 4 with permanent mental scarring and sweat flooding out of my ass crack.
isn't 4 the one where the two kids have perfectly good video evidence that dangerous supernatural shit is going on yet they never ever show any of it to anybody

4 was just a shitty Omen ripoff with obnoxious teenage protagonists.
It would have been so much better without the "Paranormal Activity" on a title. And even better if it wasn't a "caught on camera" movie.

Would've been nice if they hadn't shown almost all of the plot in the trailer, too.
I still thought 4 was the best.

Paranormal Entity was better.
Paranormal Activity: Ghosts, Gringos, and Gangstas.
Im sorry but these movies just arent good or scary
it's ok i forgive you
Still Camera Footage of Stuff Slightly Moving for an Hour and a Half Until the last 15 Minutes Where Stuff Starts Moving Slightly More The Movie 5: The Marked Ones
Im sorry but these movies just arent good or scary
They're not scary no, but the tense atmosphere the whole way through is somewhat uncomfortable.
Shit series since the first film
I remember going to see the first one in the theater with some friends to see what all the buzz was about and it was comically bad. There were some preteen girls in front us who were legitimately scared by it and I recall hearing one of them ask if this was based on a true story.
The Blair Witch Project is the only found "footage" movie that's remotely good.

i like cloverfield, troll hunter, and chronicle alot.

V/H/S 2 went hard and Troll Hunter was fantastic.
Saw this in theaters.
It was ridiculous to Evil Dead proportions...not even the teenage girls in the audience could take it seriously. There were multiple moments when I could literally hear the collective sounds of 50 people facepalming at once.
i like cloverfield, troll hunter, and chronicle alot.
Troll Hunter was fucking awesome.

Chronicle was amazing!

yeah
uncomfortably boring

Funny that, considering the Wikipedia lowdown says the second half is chock-full of references to the last few films, up and to [sp]time-traveling into them[/sp].
I don't understand these movies. It's literally people dicking around in a scene for a good 98% of the time, then something moves in the background. Then it changes scene and it's the same thing.
it just comes down to tension and how the film delivers it, really
story story story, something out of the ordinary gets filmed on camera, house residents react, and then reset. in my opinion it's a great concept, since the "events" border on being subtle and are more believable in an average person's home as opposed to a giant haunted mansion
the first one was the best one by far considering its budget, which is good since the sequels with bigger productions ended up being far worse
these movies are my guilty pleasure, fight me
i personally like redletter media's opinion of these movies. basically its like having a haunted house ride where nothing happens in a rich white kid's house going room to room and just making a loud noise or a sudden movement to scare you. then people go back to talking while waiting for a next one.
This latest entry is basically the Leprechaun: In the Hood of the series.
That part where he pulls out something black (looks like hair) from his eye is directly copied from japanese movie called 'Exte'. Why they can't think of anything original anymore?
I was thinking more about Ju-On and his american counterpart Grudge.
Wow, those mexicans really scared me. Felt like I was back in tescos
