I never understood why people let their cats out, i mean they can get in trouble (Hit by a car, kidnapped, attacked by another animal, catch a disease, etc...) and when they get back they are just gonna get shit on your floor and carpet.

My cats just get miserable if they don't have their freedom, they love to go outside and play else they get really bored. They always come back though, plus they *never* shit on the floor.
There are risks to letting your cats outside, fortunately for mine there's no real predators around, the road isn't overly busy and there's a low crime rate in my area...never heard of a cat being stolen. If I lived in an area where there were coyotes for example then I probably wouldn't allow them to go out.

My cat can only go into a sheltered giant backyard owned by several people(I live in the city).
And he shits outside.
This cat is epic win.

Indoor cats do, if you have a cat that goes and plays outside they sleep like 10-12 hours a day.
