Don't the other movies only show the the future at night?
yeah but it's still very stylized in terms of color is what i'm getting at, being heavy on the neon and very darkly vivid. but because they didn't have the creativity (or the guts) to make the film look nearly as interesting during the daytime, most of the movie is pale brown and occasionally eye-searingly over-contrasted grey. the color beige perfectly describes the movie
Did they retcon the fact that the time machine could only send living tissue back in time?

At any point after T1 I mean.

did they edit out her saying "no shit"?
The head shake is in the original one.
It was vastly different in the original. This looks hand-animated. There's anticipation before the movement (aka the head bobs down slightly, then goes up) and then it returns to its original position. It's too smooth, too artificial-looking. In the original it's a fast and rigid movement because it's done by someone who actually has a neck. :v:
Also, the hair. Compare the original to the new one. In the original it's still the entire time, it's almost waxed. In the new it looks silk smooth and flails at every move.

imo Salvation was a good movie, but a terrible terminator movie
I've been meaning to post these.

Wow, the eye piece in Genisys looks fucking awful.

the punks in Genisys just look like Sid Vicous with Greenday.

I've seen a few reviews that point out that specific scene, saying that it (and other CGI) looked better in the film compared to the trailer. Bar the helicopters. Can't confirm that myself though.

1. None of that looks as cool as they think it does, since we all saw it 22 years ago.
2. The liquid metal looked better in the original.
3. How is the police car still accelerating after he's left it?
4. How was it accelerating after he broke the gas pedal?
5. Put the metal to the pedal to the other metal.
Wow, the eye piece in Genisys looks fucking awful.
what if Arnold is simply too old for intensive prosthetic makeup?
Wow, the eye piece in Genisys looks fucking awful.
and i still can't get over how good the face damage effects in T1 and 2 look
also, the Genisys terminator skeleton looks too thin compared to the T1 and 2 models. its chin also seems to be a bit small, but that could just be the perspective
Genisys has the look and feel of a SyFy TV film

I'm fairly certain I would have noticed if it looked that bad in the actual movie. Most of the CGI was fine, some of the bigger bots during the opening battle didn't look that great I remember thinking but other than that nothing stood out to me. Helicopter scene was the worst part of the movie, but that wasn't really a CGI problem, just over the top dramatic and physically impossible crap.
the movie wasn't that good honestly
tbh i love this movie. it's like a sendoff to the originals drenched in self-parody. If you don't expect it to be a serious movie, it's incredible.
I went in expecting a cliche and campy action-movie with killer robots and time-travel.
And I got exactly that. So I'm very pleased with it.
Wooow the new movie looks like shit.

They made the chrome too clean, should have dirtied up the textures a bit.
But it could always be worse :v: :

Just saw the movie yesterday, waste of money. although the old renditions of the 1984 ' flick were fuckin incredible, the rest of the horrible plot, drop dead boring main & side characters, and lack luster action scenes don't really hold up.. at all. not to mention it's waay to long for it's own good. I had more fun playing with my seat during the BORE fest then actually watching the thing.

That's what it will look like in Terminator Genisys 2: Robotsapoppin

The lightning in that scene looks goddamn awful in the new movie, they're all just dimly lit, zero highlights.
They did a really great job with Young Arnie. It kind of makes me wish that they waited a few years for TRON: Legacy, though I suppose it's okay for Young Jeff Bridges to look like a CGI model considering the nature of the character and the setting.
[editline]7th July 2015[/editline]
These Terminator Genisys trailers and clips have effectively rendered spoiler tags irrelevant.
Tbh I think the CG was intentionally uncanny, because its supposed to look like a terminator. If it was unintentional I think that it works out anyways, its a robot and not a real human so its fine if it doesnt act completely right.
Wow, the eye piece in Genisys looks fucking awful.
The Genisys eyepiece is from the trailer, it's unfinished. In the final movie, it looks decent enough. Oh yeah, they edited the 'fuck you asshole' in the clip. He does say that in the movie
I loved the movie, it gets too much hate, especially from Rusty.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/n0AwdS8.jpg[/t]
They look like people from 2015 trying to look like 80s punks, without knowing or being told anything about 80s punks. The entire feel is all off. Which is a shame, because they got the outfits almost spot-on.
It's definitely recognizable as what it's trying to be, so that's good, but "recognizable" is about all it is.
It looked good up until he started running and was getting shot.
Also it's weird seeing a T-800 move faster than walking speed.
He runs after Kyle and Sarah in the alley after the Tech Noir club scene in T1.
