All he really had to say about it was that he got bored during the opening scene and that he doesn't like the "If you die too many times it's game over but actually it isn't or is it" thing, whether it's deliberately meant to fuck with you or not. He got a bit ranty as usual but I'm not sure why anyone brought it up as an example of him being unhinged or whatever.

On the topic of his inability to keep out of shit for his own wellbeing, seems he just declared war on Anita after her followers attacked Laura Kate Dale.
(I only picked a few, there's more tweets in the string)
TB can hardly defend himself without getting so mad he could pop blood vessels by blinking, what the fuck is he doing trying to defend other people ?
Like seriously. He legitimately cannot handle any form of direct PR to the point where his fucking doctor told him that social media is a danger to his health. Why is he still on it ?
He's old enough and experimented enough with the industry to know better than to get pissy about this kinda shit, especially after how hard he's been bashing most journalism outlets over their growing irrelevance.

As far as I know, Chris (the guy who usually handles it) had to take leave for a bit. I think he had a kid maybe?

I heard he had a very close family member pass away. So he is taking a break
Does anyone actually care about youtube drama? All I know is that some youtuber will lose sponsors because of something that they said. Why be offended by what some guy who works from home said, it's not as though the rest of his followers agree.
They're dime a dozen celebrities, most of which who get replaced every 2-5 years. After they lose popularity they'll just go back to warehouse worker or whatever they did before.

Because it also has long-reaching effects, even to those who don't want to get involved?
What sort of effects? Just because someone is popular, doesn't mean their opinion carries weight. It's just some guy who got lucky, anyone on this forum has the same potential. If you stop thinking his opinion carries weight, then it won't. Just as my opinion doesn't, it's just me wanting interact with someone people.
It's not as though total biscuit climbed mountain Everest and even if he did, his opinions are worth as much as the paper their writing on. Remember, if you give them enough rope they'll hang them selves.

You're neglecting that a lot of people do derive their opinions from celebrities and what's popular.
Also I'd consider that a bit shitty to say that these people all merely got lucky but meh that's a side point.

Yeah, youtube celebs tend to come and go. That's why TB hanging out for nearly ten fucking years on Youtube is kind of a big deal.
He has a large follower base, plenty of people follow him on his social media accounts (which he swore many times he'd stop using yet he never does for any significant length of time), and people trust his word quite a lot.
When TB gets involved in drama, that drama becomes serious because of the sheer amount of people exposed to it and willing to involve themselves with it.
Just checked his twitter out of curiosity and saw these two posts, posted right after another.

How is there a problem there?

TB is a huge voice in the gaming scene as far as critiques go and he's the biggest curator on Steam. His word can make or break a game depending on what it is and who made it. Not to mention just sheer time being around on YouTube makes his opinions that much heavier. He's by no means some internet YouTube god or anything, but he makes a difference.
so am I still allowed to like traps or what
so am I still allowed to like traps or what
Fuck em(Both the people who tells you what to like and not like, and the traps)
so am I still allowed to like traps or what
If someone calls you transphobic for liking traps then they're being bigoted themselves. You should tell them that if they do.
Some people have real thin skins on the subject. The other day I made reference on the attack helicopter joke, and an openly trans person tried to talk me down about it.
I think a lot of trans people, myself included, find jokes like the attack helicopter thing to be boring most of the time. If the punchline is 'attack helicopter', we've likely heard the exact same joke thirty times before. My problem with it isn't that it's transphobic; it's that it's lazy :v:
[editline]18th August 2017[/editline]
I think it's important not to take yourself too seriously, but thinking you're a revolutionary edgelord for making an attack helicopter joke is like thinking you're awesome for calling a white person 'mayo'.

attack helicopter jokes are pretty low tier tbh, i don't think it's offensive as much as it's just really immature and unfunny "/r/imgoingtohellforthis" tier humor.

haha
attack helicopter
did you come up with that joke? all on your own? I'm not sure if I've ever seen it before
Honestly I've not even seen the whole attack helicopter thing be directed at trans much, most of the instances where I saw it was to satirize those treekin, demonkin, drwhokins etc.

its just a tired boring joke that got old like 5 years ago and is garunteed to get brought up whenever the subject of trans is breached online
its like some trans version of godwins law

There are still plenty of people who, in earnest or not, don't differentiate between the two.
I'm a trans woman, I've befriended well over a hundred trans people, and the closest I've ever come to knowing an otherkin is somebody with several mental health conditions who uses closely identifying with (not as) fictional characters as a coping strategy. If otherkin are real (by which I mean 'people acting in earnest' rather than 4channers fucking around), they are extraordinarily rare.
TB shitting on Anita is great tbh I want more of that
