Well I could go apart ripping him apart again if I wanted to, considering that he believes that people can't connect with women because of their weakness or because they're women and for that reason only men should be protagonists. I could also say that he is mistaken as the reason why people have a harder time associating with women in a lot of media is because they are "other" to a large part of the core audience, as in not the same in some way, so that they have a hard time associating them with no grasping point to latch on to. Of course this would then lead into the fact that this is the same reason why people of different races (aside from white) are usually not the main characters in video games, although some exist, and that nobody is saying that there shouldn't be more people of differing ethnicity. But of course, why would I want to dignify his stupidity with the incredibly obvious answer that acclimating people to different points of view and giving them more anchoring points to latch on to could be solved by simply including more realistic characters of said ethnicity and sex who's thoughts and ideas could be learned simply by taking a walk in their shoes and then be used to allow people to understand other characters of similar makeup.
But it's just easier to say he's a pretentious tosser.
(In short people have difficulty associating themselves with those considered "other" than themselves but that could be remedied by longer exposure and shared experiences with characters of a similar nature. So the solution is to have more games with those characters, not less.)

Anyone with a basic understanding of human physiology can tell that men and women are perfectly capable of carrying out the same tasks. And they do.
