Nothing can beat Amnesia.
Unfortunately, I've already experienced all of Amnesia, so I wouldn't really feel right using it.
Unfortunately, I've already experienced all of Amnesia, so I wouldn't really feel right using it.
What about Amnesia: Justine? Or Amnesia 2 when it's released.
What about Amnesia: Justine? Or Amnesia 2 when it's released.
I've played a little of Justine. And, A Machine for Pigs won't be released in time.
What about Amnesia: Justine? Or Amnesia 2 when it's released.
I threw Penumbra at him, in my opinion the most pants shitting game i ever played. Hopefully he will pick that one :tinfoil:

Then I'd have to say the Penumbra series
If you have ep2 then you should at least try Nightmare House 2. It was fucking horrifying. But I am pretty iffy at horror games so thats just me.
Well, since this got revived, what are some good scary games? Trying to plan something fun for October.
If you're planning to do a stream would it be convenient to ask if you could schedule it at a time which works well for UK?
Afraid of Monsters Silent Hill 2 [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] Black Plague perhaps, but the first one isn't bad once you learn to kill everything
Just so everyone knows, I am not very good with scary things. Even something mildly frighting will probably be good enough for me.
Then I'd have to say the Penumbra series
Noted.
If you have ep2 then you should at least try Nightmare House 2. It was fucking horrifying. But I am pretty iffy at horror games so thats just me.
If I have ep2? I don't know what that is.
If you're planning to do a stream would it be convenient to ask if you could schedule it at a time which works well for UK?
I can neither confirm nor deny that I am planning a stream. ...But if I was planning one, what time frame would work well for the UK? And also, how does everyone here feel about facecams? If I was going to do a stream, I wouldn't know if I should or should not have one. Really doesn't matter to me either way. ...Hypothetically, of course.
Black Plague perhaps, but the first one isn't bad once you learn to kill everything
Perhaps he will do multiple streams and he could do the entire Penumbra series. I mean i knew you could kill everything in the game but still it was tense as fuck most of the time for me
If I have ep2? I don't know what that is.
Half life 2 episode 2.

[editline]f[/editline] You're about 4 hours behind the UK so streaming at any time before 11pm would work.
Half life 2 episode 2.
Oh, duh-doy. I don't have it, but that's not a problem. It's not expensive or anything.
Basically anything that isn't 3am-11am. I'm not sure where you're located so I can't convert the times.
I'm CST, Central Standard Time.

For instance, if you're the kind of person who jumps really bad and throws your hands around when you get startled. I'm not a fan of facecams where it seems like it's there just to be there, and doesn't add anything to the experience other than being able to stare creepily at the player.

That's something I could change mid-stream if I needed to.

Also I request that you do more Community jokes, those are streets ahead.

But on youtube videos and stuff its kinda useless unless you are genuinely moving around or being drunk or something.
Alone In The Dark.
You suggest the 2008 version without even mentioning the 1992 version? I'm disappointed.
Well the 08 version is hilariously bad ('cept for the fire physics) and the 92 version hasn't aged that well.
Well... then I should probably do neither of them. Maybe a review later, but not for what I'm planning. Currently on my Facebook poll, the leading suggestions are Nightmare House 2, SCP Containment Breach, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Are those all pretty scary?
I'm not so sure about scary, but a more accurate description would be "done to death". (At least, in the case of SCP:CB)
I'm not so sure about scary, but a more accurate description would be "done to death". (At least, in the case of SCP:CB)
So what would you suggest?
This fucking killed me [t]http://i.imgur.com/nksXS.png[/t]
I would suggest STALKER. It's not completely focused around the fear factor, but the atmosphere and the sheer difficulty of the game will shock your balls. Just be sure to add in some of the vanilla mods, like Atmosfear; and it can be pretty demanding on your PC too, thankfully though its a bit dated now.
If you play STALKER you should do vanilla before adding any mods
If you play STALKER you should do vanilla before adding any mods
Thats why I said the vanilla mods; it'd be better to make a review from a more polished version of it. But if your not reviewing actually play straight from vanilla.
