Basically any time you're underground, you're gonna have a bad time. Headphones are a must for the atmosphere. Of course, it's mainly a shooting RPG.
We all know he should REALLY just play SCP 87. Scariest staircase simulator yet.
Fucking bloodsuckers man, I still see them when I close my eyes.
Currently on my Facebook poll, the leading suggestions are Nightmare House 2, SCP Containment Breach, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Are those all pretty scary?
Nightmare House 2's intro is your generic scarefest(but really polished), but it gets really, really good later on. It has a couple of things copied/inspired by things from games like Condemned and Metro, but overall it's a very enjoyable mod.
SCP is okay, but it's still in a relatively unpolished and unfinished state. Being familiar with SCP as a whole will get you to places much faster. Expect frequent cockblocks.
STALKER is relative. While it's primary strength is atmosphere and gameplay, it does have a lot of "accidental" scares and will make some people shit bricks every nightfall or tunnel. There is also a big difficulty curve between you and your enemies(stalkers you piss off, bandits, mutants and the army) early on, but when you jump into/loot more professional gear and score some more money it gets far more easier.
I would think that the Penumbra series are the best horror series, they got great atmosphere and really puts you at the edge of your seat, also the time you expect to get scared but you don't and on the times you don't expect it you do get scared :v
The most afraid I've been when playing a game was when playing the Ghosthunt 2 map on gmod. I'm not saying you should do it, but if you're in the mood to be creeped out, I'd highly recommend it.

Looks like Moose and Steve Busemi had a baby.

Also what do you use to compress your videos?

Ghosthunt 2 is nothing compared to any of the other mods listed in this thread.
Its just some scary ambient music playing while every X second a thing is triggered

To be honest that's kind of the case for most horror games. Plus, I like the fact that Ghosthunt 2 is dynamic to an extent.

It's good once you play through it the first time; then you start to real how confined it is to scripted sequences.
Moose, who started the thing with having your babies?

Haha, I actually forgot about that. It's been a while since I made that video.
I would suggest STALKER. It's not completely focused around the fear factor, but the atmosphere and the sheer difficulty of the game will shock your balls. Just be sure to add in some of the vanilla mods, like Atmosfear; and it can be pretty demanding on your PC too, thankfully though its a bit dated now.

If you play STALKER you should do vanilla before adding any mods

Shadow of Chernobyl is fucking terrifying at times, but not always. Stalker has heaps and heaps and heaps of atmosphere.

Thats why I said the vanilla mods; it'd be better to make a review from a more polished version of it. But if your not reviewing actually play straight from vanilla.

SCP:CB and NH2 are scary, but they're cheap scares. Just a bunch of jump scares and no real atmosphere. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is more atmospheric, but less scary.
Well, this won't be for a review. Is it a game that people would enjoy watching me play? As I think I've said, it's not going to take much to get me scared.
We all know he should REALLY just play SCP 87. Scariest staircase simulator yet.
There's seriously a staircase simulator, what?

Sounds kind of like STALKER is quite a time investment... how long is it?
lmao, I could totally see that!
And I use Handbrake for compression.
Moose, who started the thing with having your babies?
I don't even remember.
I'm not sure how STALKER would be for streaming, but then I don't see the point of streaming other scary games. Since it's all about the atmosphere there wont be many jumper scares like in the other ones.
I'd say one playthrough could go as long as 20 hours if you do everything like I did. I'd expect something like 10-15 hours realistically; that's assuming that you'll spend a lot of time dying and reloading at a reasonable difficulty.
Well, this won't be for a review. Is it a game that people would enjoy watching me play? As I think I've said, it's not going to take much to get me scared.
Jump scares are better for viewers, IMO. Otherwise, the viewers will think "Why's he so scared? It's just a dark tunnel with ominous music!"
There's seriously a staircase simulator, what?
It's a game version of SCP-087. Basically, you walk down the SCP's staircase while waiting for creepy things to happen. It's great for atmosphere, that's about it.
Sounds kind of like STALKER is quite a time investment... how long is it?
It's similar to Fallout 3 & New Vegas. An open-world first person shooter RPG. It'll take a while, but it's a fun game.

Depends on what all you do. On average a playthrough is around 20 or so hours.
STALKER has better gunplay than fallout though. More like an actually shooter than press button til guy runs out of health.
STALKER has better gunplay than fallout though. More like an actually shooter than press button til guy runs out of health.
That's because STALKER approaches the FPS/RPG from the FPS perspective and Fallout approaches it from the RPG perspective.
Hmm... well, I think I have a good idea for what I'm doing for now.
I'll work on it a bit, and have something for you guys soon!

Ending music was Pajama Sam, if I'm not mistaken.
DOES THAT MEAN THE NEXT VIDEO WILL BE PAJAMA SAM?

I think it just means I like Pajama Sam.
I think that was probably my favorite video yet! I think it probably more entertaining when you review awful and/or buggy games like that.
So did you run this game using DosBox? If so, then I could request Tyrian.

Yes, I did. And I'll look into Tyrian.
The YABBA DABBA DOO got me real good. Quality stuff as usual, Moose.
does the game really end or does your wife say, "sorry but your dino is in another castle"?

I'm not sure they had castles in bedrock.
Oh, and happy October. Guess I can tell you guys about this now.

Damn, so late
And I really wanted to watch these too
Shame about no STALKER, but the schedule is great anyways.
Moose, do you accept friend requests on Steam? I'd like to add you!
