Looks like it's time to upgrade the old PC to make this run. Can't wait for more footage.
Damn, I got to pre order this soon.

Disappointed just a little. The destruction is clearly better than BC2, but it's still the pre-defined places of destruction, while what you blow up there now falls down as a physical object that can hurt you, it's just that plus BC2 destruction. I was hoping something more dynamic/DMM-ish

Some things are fully destructible, some aren't. Everyone wants crazy dynamic destruction but they don't realize how much it would fuck the dynamics of the entire game up. I wouldn't want to end up playing on completely flattened maps, would you?

More work but that's what this game is supposed to achieve.
The sound alone could make me orgasm
Quite slower than I imagined it would be.
I like slower. It gives you more time to think and I don't want it to be a crack fest like cod.
The out of bounds barriers look a little restricting...
Just like in BF2, and BF Vietnam, and every other Battlefield ever made.
This game looks beautiful, and the sounds are great too.
Wait in that last video he just rushes up and knifes a guy. I thought it was it's own weapon now (not just a button press). Also it looked like you might still be able to spawn on any squad member, god damn I hated that so much about BC2
It is. But you can also quick knife. You get special animations if you attack someone from behind with a knife.
Oh dear mother of holy fuck, this game is just, well, amazing!
This looks amazing, can't wait.

Either a map with tons of destructible stuff in it, but the destruction is more predefined, or a map with very few destructible things, but the destruction is fully dynamic. Computers aren't strong enough to handle destruction on the scale you want. Red Faction Guerrilla had much more dynamic destruction, but the buildings were smaller and there weren't nearly as many. You would never be able to have as large or as detailed an area as you do in Battlefield.
The one problem here is that I'm going to suck at this. I suck at ARMA II because I can't tell targets from friendlies. I end up dieing because I don't know what to do. I hope they implement a squad system similar to MAG because then I knew what the fuck was going on.

In BF3, squad members can spawn on the squad leader only. Squad leaders can spawn on any squad member.
I haven't played any of the BF games. Never got a chance or never got the games.
I would say get it when it goes on sell again on steam for 6$
I would say get it when it goes on sell again on steam for 6$
I will if I can but the way my mother is trying to fucking guilt trip me because I couldn't get a job over the summer so I only have 200$ left on my bank account for my next year of college is going to be hard It would be nice to get BF2 as a gift though.
I don't meet the Criteria to enter the Alpha site D: ... I own every Battlefield game made to date... What else do you need.
I don't meet the Criteria to enter the Alpha site D: ... I own every Battlefield game made to date... What else do you need.
Luck.
They should remove the Bad Company audio, arming, beeping ect.
This is what games in 2011 are meant to be like
it looks, okay? i think the people who are taking about orgasms are maybe exaggerating just a bit
I don't meet the Criteria to enter the Alpha site D: ... I own every Battlefield game made to date... What else do you need.
That's not what you do, you sign in to your account on the BF3 website and signup for the newsletter, if you're a veteran you have a better chance (I'm lvl3 :>) and maybe, I dunno you might have a better chance if you download Origin.
They should remove the Bad Company audio, arming, beeping ect.
Well the videos are from the alpha. Wouldn't they wait until later to put in new sounds?
Oi, OP put this vidya up; 1080p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MgQMoPwGwM&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL I have a feeling this game is going to get delayed, I dunno why. Also, add this if you haven't already;
The sound is just fucking beautiful in this game. It makes me wish I had a good sound system so I could really hear the pop of each shot.
