My brain actually hurts. I never thought I could witness that much stupid in my life.
I'd like to see someone win against an argument with Blackbustercritic.
No racism but... I've never seen a black man talk about gaming :v:
Neither have I, but him being the first one and it was fucking genius.
<3 my hero.
I think someone should just lock the thread. Would be good for us all.
Yes, stop the growth of the penis tree.
No racism but... I've never seen a black man talk about gaming :v:
you've never met one?
I just want to point out one thing:
The guy complains about PC gaming.
Then he has an annotation saying to donate to them to help buy a PC.
Notice it didn't say NEW PC.
Just PC.
Imagine if there was only one single gaming platform.
Oh god it would be beautiful :allears:
it would be expensive as all fuck and the games would suck dick. there would be no reason to offer competitive hardware at a competitive price, there would be no competition. there wouldn't really be any competition amongst games, no exclusivity competition.
remember PC games before NES/SEGA? well, most likely not, i myself wasn't around, but PC games before then sucked, the reason being it was the only major platform. sure, there was intellivision and atari but atari had probably 10 games in its lifespan that anybody cared about. and C-64 was pretty much just a different spin on PC, more or less a PC with the sole intention of playing games(that were not great).
Don't have the time? It takes a fucking hour to build one. If you have the time to play a video game on a console, you obviously have the time.

This parts just venting now
"Computer is more expensive" Uhmm no.
CONSOLE: HDTV - 800-2000$
Console - 300$
Controllers - 50-200$
HDMI - 10$ (Most retards buy them for 100$ though)
XBL - 60$
Game - 60$
Price of a PC that can max most current games - 800 - 1200$.* (Including Monitor, Speakers, Mice, Keyboards, Tower, etc.)
Online - Free
Games - Start anywhere from 5-50$ (Rarely 60) Yea it's almost comparable.
Wow, you are hands down the worst troll I have ever seen.

i'm not advocating consoles being better than PC i'm just pointing out fallacies with your argument/trolling, i personally prefer PC gaming by far
you don't have to use an HDTV with a console, you could also use a monitor, though you can get a 1080p HDTV for ~$500 and a 720p for ~$300, seeing as console games commonly run at 720p, it all depends on the size, really
you can get a PS3, 360, or Wii all for well under $300, just get the cheaper model or buy it used, and no Wii exceeds $250 anyway
$200?! are you referring to Kinect/Move/Wii Fit which are accessories? either way, controllers are included with the console, and i'm not talking about accessories, and the prices are actually $35 for Wii and $45 for PS3 and 360
for the Wii, no HDMI is needed, but for HDMI you should actually not be paying any higher than a $.50, and i'm not even kidding, it's a digital cable, it either works or it doesn't, and you can buy them dirt cheap online, you shouldn't be buying HDMI cables from BestBuy or even Newegg
XBL - okay assuming you actually have a 360, perhaps, but even if you did, this is also an accessory and not required to play the game, though it should be noted that no console comes with free online, you still have to pay for an internet service on top of that, something even XBL includes, and this applies to the PC as well
the games vary in prices, and games purchased from the consoles' markets tend to be more between $5 and $40, and are usually $15.
price of a PC that can max all current games will cost you at least $800, excluding monitor, speakers, mice, and keyboard. and "most" is a very silly term, don't use it, it self invalidates arguments.
online - free in the sense that you're not playing a [decent] MMORPG and your mommy or daddy is paying for your internet connection.
games - pricing does vary exactly as it does with consoles with the benefit of major releases not commonly costing more than $50, with a rare few being $60 as you mentioned
all said and done I still prefer PC gaming but not for mystical reasons
Don't get me started on Xbox 360's and Life span. Useless fucking thing.
Seeing that console owners need a PC anyway for non-gaming work, they eventually end up spending the same amount of money as you would buying a nicer PC. Why not make the PC an all-purpose rig? I love how my PC is, I can watch my movies, do my web browsing, play games, EVERYTHING on my PC. I have two 22" monitors as well, so I can do a lot at the same time. I hardly fumble around with discs since I have STEAM for most of my games that I would not want a hard copy of. My games run fantastic and I can use mods too. Sorry 3killabytes, get your shit straightened out. The only thing holding back console gamers from PC gaming is their lethargic nature, they can't handle learning how to building or upgrade a PC.
I've also had a change in heart about controller preference. I think the gamepad/controller is a horrible invention, despite being designed for gaming. It can't do it as well as keyboard/mouse configuration. You only realize how ineffective the gamepad is until you've seen test results of veteran players who are native to the gamepad playing against players of any type native to the keyboard/mouse.
I just saying, by the time you get a console and a monitor or HDTV, you're only coming half way to getting the visual experience of a PC but very close to spending as much as an all-purpose PC.
fuck that dude (in the second video) has so many god damn ps3 games shit
i told you
i told you bro
My braincells are dying and my fists are clenching, these assholes are just.....god dammit hes...they!....FUCK!
Did that mother fucker just say the N64 sucked, he had just taken it too far.
They didn't mention the 1 real plus console gaming has, split screen.
Too bad the majority of modern games don't have splitscreen because they are not capable of rendering a scene from two different angles.
...why not just get both? I got a 360 so that I could get some of the great exclusives to consoles like Ace Combat and Halo, but then also use it for games that my PC couldn't handle at a decent graphics : frame rate ratio like GTAIV.
I'm going to drown in a tidal wave of boxes for saying this.

you have to pay for internet connection with console too

changed the video to something better
Imagine if there was only one single gaming platform.
Oh god it would be beautiful :allears:
The only thing that would suck about that is that the console price would take forever to drop because there's no competition. UNLESS that console was the PC, the GPUs would drop in price quickly to bring in more powerful ones the next year.
Why is everyone arguing about this... on Facepunch?
Why would OP even make a kewl battle video about it?
Arguing with console fanboys is as retarded as feeding a troll.

Their "Gaming Addiction" episode on Panorama tells me otherwise.

dear god all of the ignorance in this thread is killing me
The first video is retarded. The second video is absolutely right and calls out the first video on its faults. The guy in the second video is dressed up for some reason, and he makes me want to choke him because the way he talks is annoying is fuck -- even though his points are very valid.

hes a blockbuster store manager
or maybe he likes to wear stuff like that
One of his best arguments is "We now have HD TV's!", and I'm currently writing this message on my 40" Full HD TV while installing WoW on my HTPC running an i3 @ 3.33GHz which (last I checked) has more processing power (even graphical-wise) than the xbox 360 standing next to it.
I also have a Chillxstream for games I want a controller for (and chilly hands.. mmmm cold air on hands) and even a G25 leather steering wheel for my driving games.
My xbox 360 supports neither of these controllers due to "derp driver issues", so I don't see the big idea of why a small, affordable and compact drvice constantly has to be compared to a large, sometimes heavy-duty, and sometimes loud, home workstations.
Also my HTPC cost the same as my xboox 360 did when it came out.
