Mostly Dan and Alex.
Met Dan a few months ago after a wrestling show and he was super down to earth and humble. stopped to talk to everyone who approached him, and actually engaged in conversation with them. Not just like a "hey guys how's it going" but like an actual "so what was your favorite match of the night?" sorta thing.
Dude's really nice. I mean, at least he was to me.

In general I find it a little cringeworthy when game journalists freak out like fanboys during E3. I remember when people starting chanting Sony's name when they announced no always-online DRM for PS4, and people were booing Microsoft when their press conference had technical difficulties. Aren't these guys supposed to be professionals?

I mean, I know it's fucking game journalism, but show some tact.

1. This was an announcement not something trying to show off it's integrity
2. This isn't your typical HD remaster.
Also GB produced the best GIF of E3:

So what? People express their emotions differently. Especially when it comes to being in a group and who is in that group. You call it "sperging out like a child", a lot of people will call it "fucking ecstatic, and wants people to know it".
Everyone at Giant Bomb is a cynical douchebag who hates video games. The website started going downhill after Ryan died and it's now a shell of its former self.

It's not like they are broadcasting political news where they have to be indifferent and emotionless.

at the conferences they will bring in fanboys to cheer and such (proper journalists rarely if ever do besides eurogamer and those freaks). when they don't, it's dead silent. look at the video for the unveil of the xbox one, which has clearly overdubbed applause/cheers because its a small room and the entire room is exclusively journalists). however, bringing in fanboys can backfire (booing). that and the chanting of sony are clearly done by fanboys that they purposely let in.
Why is GiantBomb's part darker than it originally is, is it to make them look bad?
Apparently screaming like a generic youtuber and jumping like you're 5 years old is the right reaction to a remake and a kickstarter announcement.
I asked my coworkers what they were excited about from E3 so far, and the only person who's heartstrings are connected to video game franchises more than me said "meh, nothing but amiibos really"
I feel like this video a dramatization of a panel of me, and a panel of Mitch watching E3 because what is loose in your brain that you dont like fun.
[editline]fakeeditimdrunk[/editline]
Not that I jumped over a table over the FF remake or anything, but whole metaphor of games making you happy vs. 'meh i just want more figures' thing

Expressing your emotional response without acting like a monkey? They must not care very much.

Agreed, I hate that people are reacting that way.
Game coverage, news, journalism, and interest all needs to collectively grow the Hell up.
I think the guys at Giant Bomb certainly provide a good step in that direction.

The right direction is not to be an asshat though.
A better direction then giant bomb is to go, "oh hey, would you look at that", then "hahaha reeemake?".
Even if you didn't like the presentation super bunny hop does a better job by far.
I really don't get people's beef with remakes.
I managed to miss out on a lot of classics when I grew up and I completely managed to miss out on last gen so having them come out on the newer systems makes it way easier for me to get my hands on these games

I'm not even a fan of FF7, but that teaser makes the original look just like some childhood dream fantasy, now they clearly can show you what they wanted to in the first place.
Trust me, I didn't even really blink during it but I understand why to some people this is the best thing ever. If you've only heard of this game and had trouble getting into it, this is the best way to get new players involved.
Justifiable hype, shitty video/10
Dunno why this has to be a video, but then again I don't think the creator made it to bash either side.
I'd prefer to watch these "three pewdiepie's" then Giantbomb though, perhaps its just me but i just like these super happy reactions.

Didn't even notice, yeah then this is dumb.
"Fuck these dumb men for not getting excited about games they have no interest in"
"I liked these games therefore everybody liked these games because I am the most important person and my opinions are the best"
These are commentators of a livestreamed conference, the least I would expect them to do is to not talk during trailers. Hell, I nearly turned GiantBomb's stream off because they were mumbling between themselves during trailers, I can't even imagine what it'd be like to watch GameTrailer's stream.
I'm a bit cynical about the remake as well, from the producers own words it sounds like the ATB is going to be replaced by FFXV's battle system.
GB act like journalists watching E3, GT act like fans watching E3. That's the only difference, I know a shit ton of people like the GT guys who got excited over the FF7 announcement because its a part of their childhood being brought back after 20 or so years. Jeff, for example, would have been 22 when it originally came out so to him it wasn't a childhood defining game and has been a journalist for a long time, he's been through all the ups and downs of the journalism and the game industry, of course he's right to be cynical but GT guys have been waiting for this since the original PS3 tech demo and through all the shit like the Sony Experience port.
It also doesn't help that FP has a GB and PC bias, I mean the GoW Remaster coming to PC has almost twice as many winners than a FF7 remake announcement in SH.
Loads of people here(including myself) are extremely cynical towards HL3 ever coming out and say shit like "who cares anymore", "why get hype anymore" etc. but I know for a fact the second that an official word/trailer comes around from Valve I'll be doing exactly what GT and SBF did. Why? Because I'll be caught up in the moment, the hype and the excitement to finally get more of a game that personally defined a lot of gaming for me.
Sure I'll be a cynic afterwards, I'll read message boards and the news and hear all the bad reactions and see were they're coming from. But in that moment? It'll be the fucking best.

Then why not watch the official streams instead? They had no commentary at a all and if you wanted to find out their opinions then check them after.

You could say "Man children scream over video game announcement vs men who act appropriately over a video game announcement.".
When I'm excited about something, i don't scream and jump around because I'm an adult.

To be fair, the live stream name was literally "Giant Bomb talks over the _______ Press Conference."
I don't get people saying they faked their reactions. Do you wanna go tell all these people to stop faking it as well and to grow up because something that defined their childhood came back after almost 20 years and countless teasing?

They wouldn't dare.
Would they? :(
I really don't understand the hate GB have been getting over the last few days because of this, especially on Neogaf.
It's whatever floats your boat, It's pretty clear from the get-go nobody on the GB panel is a big fan of FF or Shenmue, they only touch upon those games when there's news to be announced.
Although I didn't find either announcement particularly exciting myself (or TLG), it did put a smile on my face knowing this will make a lot of people happy. Just none of them games are for me; I know that. They know that.
But honestly, videos like this portraying the GB crew as grumpy old men is shitting on them and giving them a dis-service to the good work they do. Besides, I'm pretty sure if a Burnout Paradise remake got confirmed, Jeff would probably be ecstatic, or Vinny would be pretty pumped about a new side-scrolling Castlevania :v:
