How progressive of the coffee shop to hire 120 lbs of human bacon.
small adjustment
not sure if there's even a corpse left
You’re right. Not a coffee shop, he’s at a smoothie shop. Except he doesn’t work there.
I wonder if the movie will time jump at all to show the baby grown up a little. He's going to be so OP once he is able to control the powers. Unless some villain is going to kidnap the baby and try to steal the powers as the storyline or something. One of the coolest things about Incredibles was the constant use of working together with their powers throughout the entire movie. Not some fantastic four thing where they realized that working together will defeat the bad guy in the final battle of the movie.
I... everything that man has written has had complaints about shitty writing. What the fuck
It was from looking at that guy's work did I learn there's gonna be a Watchmen TV series. Fuck yes.
The movie takes place 5 seconds after the original, so no
Darn. I really wanted to see the kids grow up.
The plot revealed so far involves Bob taking care of Jack-Jack at home while Helen, Violet, and Dash are off doing something super-heroey.

I knew the announcement for half life 3 would pay off
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers.
From the description, I'm not sure that I like the sound of this
They just switch the main characters without spoiling too much of the story and its antagonist.
So it’s basically Mr. Mom with superpowers?
[sp]you'd think jack-jack would be able to speak by now [/sp]
The movie takes place DIRECTLY after the credits sting, like literally two seconds later.
It's basically the Toy Story 2 vs Toy Story 1 plotline, to be fair we spent a lot of time with Bob in the first movie and learned a lot about his personality. I'm excited to see the movie follow Helen personally. It's a Brad Bird movie. It's gonna be entertaining
Message to the doubters out there. The sequel is written and directed by Brad Bird who wrote and directed the first one and he said he'd only make a sequel if he knew he had a story worth telling. On top of that, I think Bird's movies are the only Pixar movies(The Incredibles, Ratatouille) written by an individual instead of a duo or team. He also did the Iron Giant and tons of classic Simpsons episodes. BB is one of those guys you can put your faith in.
They said the movie takes place literally 5 seconds after the first one.
damn it i really wanted to see those 5 seconds

Would'a been really tragic if those hips and thighs happened to be fake as well.
I'm really hoping they don't lean into the Jack-Jack stuff. I adore the first movie, but the very end with Jack-Jack specifically having literally whatever powers always rubbed me the wrong way. I always thought it would be have been better if he just stayed as a non-super, or maybe his powers were something much more subtle. It would set him apart in interesting ways if they ever did a time skip or future movies with the kids. Plus, depending how you go with his character, you could end up creating parallels with Syndrome in ways that he would be totally unaware of, but his parents would recognize and they'd have to somehow address. I'm just spitballing ideas at this point. Anyway, when he has pretty much every power, it just gets dumb and you get stuff like what was in the teaser they posted. The first movie was really good, and it seems like all the right people are involved here, but I'm still very wary of how they're going to handle Jack-Jack.
From the description, I'm not sure that I like the sound of this
I'm assuming that by spotlight they just mean "main character". In the first movie, the spotlight is clearly on Bob, but it's not like the other family members did nothing or were unimportant. It's going to be the same thing but with Helen instead.

But it's been a really long time since I watched it.
agh fuck i have to go to a wedding the day it premiers, i've waited 13 years for this!
I think you need to sort out your priorities dude, get the tickets now.
Fun fact, I'm friends with a band named Charly Bliss and after I vaguely recognized one of their guitarists names, Spencer Fox, he begrudgingly told me he was the original voice of Dash.
agh fuck i have to go to a wedding the day it premiers, i've waited 13 years for this!
No worries dude, just watch the movie then use your car’s superpropulsors to get to the wedding. It’s a flawless plan.
I hope who they cast to voice the kids sound as close as possible Violet's voice was very distinct [editline]20th November 2017[/editline] edit: nvm a grownup did her voice and is coming back for the sequel
