One of my favorite animated movies for color and art direction:
From the description, I'm not sure that I like the sound of this
Sort of seems like a Finding Dory situation, where they swap a character's role with another and then proceed to tell the same story with the exact same message but with less impact because we've already seen it before.
I wonder if the movie will time jump at all to show the baby grown up a little.
He's going to be so OP once he is able to control the powers. Unless some villain is going to kidnap the baby and try to steal the powers as the storyline or something.
One of the coolest things about Incredibles was the constant use of working together with their powers throughout the entire movie.
Not some fantastic four thing where they realized that working together will defeat the bad guy in the final battle of the movie.
And I think that made it far better because it allows for more suspense. Everyone knows the "antisocial heroes don't work together until the end and then they end up beating the bad guy because ~teamwork~" trope. At this point, I think it's more of a cliche than a trope.
However, if the superheroes are working together from the beginning, and they're barely able to keep up with the supervillain, it's a far better, far more satisfying story. It becomes more a mystery about, "how we're going to stop this guy," rather than, "how are we going to stop being shitheads long enough to team up to beat this guy."
Can't wait for Shadman to see the movie and make more Helen "art".

He's more likely to make "art" of Jack-Jack.

I can't believe you've said this, I blame you for anything and everything that happens after this movies release.

Anyone who thinks that post isn't accurate obviously hasn't paid attention to Shadman's work in the past year or so.
One needn't look any farther than his Avatar comic he made a while back to see that there's precedent for him making porn involving male infants.
Not going to link for obvious reasons.
How is shadman still allowed to post anything on the internet
Shadman's like Voldemort at this point; spoken of in whispers, and both untouchable and clearly evil
Can we not turn this into a Shadman thread lol thanks.

And it only took 60ish posts too!
I wouldn't be surprised if the movie deals with how the public is reacting to the return of super heroes and if the kids are exposed to a bit of the backlash their parents had to deal with. I guess of a "why do we save these people" kinda thing. Still should be interesting to see how the movie plays out.
It comes out in the US a whole MONTH before it comes out in the UK
Whhyyyyy?
You guys got Blue Planet II first, so suck it
