It's christopher nolan so I doubt it. Unless if you mean like as in getting people interested in space again, then I would say maybe because so many people will go see this movie just cause of Nolans name.
i could see Nolan possibly making a movie as good as 2001 for his eventual magnum opus, but i can safely say he will definitely never be our generation's Stanley Kubrick. he makes incredibly good films but even at his best he's not nearly as cerebral with the fine details
