I have always thought it would be best to give these guys parachute training. And just send them up there with a pack on. Finished the job or fall half way up the climb? No problem
Thrill seekers dream job.
Too bad the guy that made this video was fired and blacklisted from the industry.
Too bad the guy that made this video was fired and blacklisted from the industry.
Where did you see that?
Looks scary, I'd probably get that job if I could though, as long as I am provided with more than a few hooks in the likely case I fall.
In my opinion, this looks awesome as hell. I love heights.
I climbed a tower like this once. It was a lot safer, though. The town I live in does this thing every year where they close the airport for a day and let you tour the planes, tour the flight tower, pull a large airplane with fifty other people, ect. One of the activities they let you do is scale a large radio tower. Prior to the day, I lost a bet with a bud of mine, and as punishment, he told me I had to scale the radio tower. So to my dismay, I get to the tower and they attach a harness around my waist in case I fall. So I get a lesson from the professional, and begin to scale the tower with him climbing behind me. I was able to make it about 100 feet up before I had to take a break. During the break, my climbing buddy and I sat on the supports and had a little talk. I ask him why he has such a crazy job and he says for the view at the top. I look out to the scenery and say it can't be too different from the view from here. He then smiles and me and says "you'll see." After our break we climb the rest of the tower and get to the tippy top. I take my first look around The view I got to see from the very top is something I will never forget. It's one thing to see it in a video, but another to see it with your own eyes. I couldn't blame my climbing buddy for making this his life job. It was amazing. When I got down, my friend felt so bad about sending me up there, he gave me twenty bucks and said he owed me. I was so smug.
go up, oh, I have to pee, what do?
Pee off the tower?
the universe was created solely to house that man's massive balls of steel.
Pee into the tower be tasered be hit by lightning due to height gain electrical powers glide back down choose a path of good or evil using your electrical powers and save the world from other mutants
the universe was created solely to house that man's massive balls of steel.
Yeah, that bag that guy is lugging with him, when the narrator said tools, he meant balls.
Yeah, that bag that guy is lugging with him, when the narrator said tools, he meant balls.
My balls are tools. Tools to spread my seed with.
i'm surprised the weight of his testicles didn't cause the tower to collapse what an ironic death
I live about a 2 minute walk from a radio tower I might try to climb it and take pictures and stuff. I don't have any safety gear though. I think I might do it anyways. It's not nearly as high as this one though.
Where did you see that?
In the original thread for this posted by the guy who did it (I think), for some reason he got in a lot of trouble for posting the video. He removed it too.

His boss saw that video and recognized him/the tower and fired him for exposing his shitty company
Seriously, I'd love to do something like that.

You guys think it's bad climbing, imagine the balls of the guys who built it?

Also it's probably a good idea to have a mate go with you.
I don't even know if there is an amount you could pay me to do this.
I would do it if i had a parachute, it would be an pretty intense experience, because i likely wont get back down by scale.
I saw him climbing those pegs and I was like nope nope nope nope nope
