Really? Quake 3 does have multiplayer, but sometimes its a pain just to get on it.... I have to refresh about 20 times just for the list to show up.
I would like to write a whole fucking essay about why you should stop making your dumb videos and posting here, but I doubt it'll make any difference. So I'll put it simple:
get out
EDIT: You're confusing me again, Facepunch. You pretty much wished KiNG3 to get out or stop posting, whatever, but I did the same, yet I'm the one who's getting boxes.
Well, it doesn't matter now, he's perma'd. Good riddance, I say.
lol so much FP elitist neckbearding going on in this thread.
King I would just leave because you have to just act a specific way in order for faggots here to tolerate you. While I disagree that you needed to make a video to point out camping in Quake because it's quite rare. And I also disagree with that low texture 1 player skin BS you have going there (it doesn't make you better). You honestly haven't done anything horrible it seems, it's just FP has a bitch fit when people who are new do dumb things, like not knowing how to reply to a post and replying with "??????"
So yeah I would just leave.
Rarity of camping in quake live isn't even the issue.
The way quake live is set up just makes it a shitty game to camp in. In games like Call of Duty camping works because you'll probably be dead before you can react if you aren't expecting a camper.
In quake live? Alright, he may get a little bit of damage in on you, more if he's good with a rocket launcher or a railgun, and then you proceed to stomp him into the dirt because he was just sitting there with no momentum and wasn't collecting health pickups or weapons. Even if they do manage to kill you, you know exactly where he is when you respawn and you have the unquestionable advantage.

The texture thing is actually very useful. Multiplayer games having definite "RED IS ENEMY, BLUE IS FRIEND" is great, especially in something fast paced like quake. There have been plenty of times in modern games like Battlefield where I see a bush in the distance and think "fuck is there someone in there I think there might be?" and then get shot while trying to figure it out. Having less clutter is very good for competition

There is enough enemy definition as it is, you are comparing a game that is usually within medium-close quarters to a modern brown shooter where you have to pixel hunt.
The whole low texture thing just caught on in the pro gaming crowd, and they kind of will try to legally tip anything into their favor in order to win therefore the rest of the normal players just assume it automatically gives you some sort of edge when it honestly doesn't at all, and if it does it's very miniscule. It's been a large debate in the quake community though, I guess it comes down to preference but the people who play with low textures still kind of make me chuckle on the inside. It's like people who buy gaming mice to get an upperhand when I have been using a fucking dell mouse for years and I used to be pretty good at railing.
And also the red is enemy blue is teammate is on by default I wasn't talking about that.
The difference being is that it's free to change your settings, and fine if you wanna play with clutter be my guest. Some people like a very clean look and feeling to their games.
Oh wow, OP got perma'd.
TBH, he's nothing but a self-advertiser.
