For a minute there I thought I was in hell.
thats probably because you were watching big bang theory
What the Hell, this show is some of the funniest shit I've ever seen! Who are the people on here suggesting it's not funny?
I would say it's not funny. My sister kept saying "OH YOU GOTTA WATCH THIS IT'S TOTAL NERD HUMOR", but it really isn't nerd humor at all. It's anti-nerd humor. It plays on the dumb stereotypes of nerds in a dumb way. I'm not one of those crusaders who say "this is bad for nerds blah blah blah", but don't try and pass this shit off as nerd humor. Community has legitimate nerd humor. It isn't there to constantly remind you that the humor is nerdy, or that the characters are nerds. It uses intelligence and references only nerds will get.

oh man main character is autistic totally not negative stereotype of nerds
I must be the only one on FP who likes this show.
I love the show. [editline]3rd May 2012[/editline]
oh man main character is autistic totally not negative stereotype of nerds
you realize the show is written and produced by 'nerds'
and reinforces the negative social image of people who are associated by the general populace to the fictional and over-exaggerated characters?
its also written to pander to the lowest common denominator. They don't make any fucking jokes on Big Bang Theory. There's no setups and no punchlines. Just random pseudo-tech references with a laugh track. "My new computer came with windows 7" Laugh Track "Windows 7 is much more user-friendly than Windows Vista." Louder Laugh Track "I don't like that." UPROARIOUS LAUGHTER I'm sorry, is that supposed to be a fucking joke? They said the words "windows 7" twice and that's "nerd humor," really? Fuck you, Big Bang Theory. Fuck you and your condescending bullshit.
that wow episode or w/e my parents asked me if I said "TROTSKYGRAD IS AFK" whenever I left a chat I replied "no, I just say, something like 'hey guys, I'm off to eat', or something similar".
Creepy video.
Wait. Memory card? For Super Mario 64?
N64 had memory cards.
N64 had memory cards.
Didn't they go in the same slot the rumble pack went in?
Didn't they go in the same slot the rumble pack went in?
No, the memory card actually went into the N64. There was a hatch between the cartridge and the on/off and reset buttons where it would go into. Some of the games required the memory card because they contained too much data for the N64 by itself to handle, such as The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. (The constant time travel and the hundreds of scripted events taking place at exact points in time within the game's world is still pretty complicated even by today's standards. I don't think I've seen any game try something similar since then.) Also, I admit, I still like this show, despite hte fact that it can be boring and unfunny at times. For me, it's the characters that make me like it. They feel very relateable to me because I know people just like that in real life. Also Sheldon is totally autistic. He's got almost all the symptoms of a classic case of a guy with Asperger's syndrome.
I must be the only one on FP who likes this show.
I like it :v: Some things are kind of annoying, but I still like it.

I thought memory cards went into the rumble pack place on the controller?
I decided to wikipedia it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64_accessories#Controller_Pak Memory card goes into the slot on the controller. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_64_accessories#Expansion_Pak Expansion Pak(RAM) went into the panel. By the way, throw in a laugh track and this conversation could be on Big Bang Theory guys!!!!
Most of the games didn't need the memory card, since they had it built into the cartridge.
And this is why It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is the funniest sitcom on tv still.
I realllllly tried to get into this, but I pretty much laughed out loud maybe two or three times in a couple of seasons whereas I really like bbt
The Big Bang Theory was pretty fun at first to me then it just got boring and repetitive after I realized it's just some nerdy references with a laugh track. Oh and the parts with the gay indian guy are just cringeworthy and stupid.

I hate this show with a burning passion.
Oh god, why they can't fuck another after all of this.
Where does that scream/laugh track even originate from? It's eerie as shit.
Where does that scream/laugh track even originate from? It's eerie as shit.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laugh_track http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Douglass
In early television, most shows that were not live television used the single-camera filmmaking technique familiar from movies, where a show was created by filming each scene several times from different camera angles. Since it was not possible for an audience to be present during single-camera filming, there could be none of the live audience laughter that audiences had come to expect from radio comedy, and which was still offered in the many shows broadcast live with audiences laughing in the studio. In addition, live audiences could not be relied upon to laugh at the "correct" moment. Other times, the audiences would laugh too long or too loud, sounding unnatural and forced or throwing off the performers' rhythms. CBS sound engineer Charley Douglass noticed these inconsistencies, and took it upon himself to remedy the situation. If a joke did not get the desired chuckle, Douglass inserted additional laughter; if the live audience chuckled too long, Douglass gradually muted the guffaws. This editing technique became known as 'sweetening', in which pre-recorded laughter is used to augment the response of the real studio audience if they did not react as strongly as desired. Conversely, the process could be used to "desweeten" audience reactions, toning down unwanted loud laughter or removing inappropriate applause, thus making the laughter more in line with the producer's preferred method of telling the story.
"The Laff Box"
this show is a piece of shit and it shouldn't be shown anywhere

Apparently there's always a few people who laugh even during retakes and there's an entertainer there while they're setting up scenes to keep the audience in a good mood

Wow, I didn't really hate this show, but this makes it more interesting.
It's the audience who laugh, not a laugh-track. It was shown on a making-of thing for the show.
