Sometimes, real shit gets posted. Remember the Fant4stic shit?
That's a fair point. Maybe I'm just being too optimistic about wanting /co/ to be full of crap about this.
give up on this reboot
CalArts needs to not.
give up on this reboot
I don't think the new show looks very good either but that dinosaur's design isn't exactly a good representation of the monsters you would see in the original show.
Oh jesus. Oh fuck. Now, this isnt confirmed but with the state of Cartoon Network, you cant be too sure these days. [sp]Theres apparently a villain in the new show named Gamer Gator. For the love of god someone please prove this wrong. [/sp]
I've even heard the flannel guy in the preview described as a Men's Rights Activist Hooo boooy
what studio is doing the animation
He's busy with Disney's Wander over Yonder and he didn't like the voice acting changes.
Could I get a source to this, please? Because if Craig McCracken ain't fine with this, I ain't fine with this.
what studio is doing the animation
I could be wrong, but the animation itself on CN's TV shows is almost always done by some some obscure studio in South Korea. The storyboards/animatics are done at CN.
Every CN show must look like adventure time.
I'm willing to give the show a try and see how good it'll be.
I'm willing to give the show a try and see how good it'll be.
I wouldn't discount it either way right now. On one hand, they might turn the show into continuous shitshow of unfunny skits and ideas that just plain suck, making the show a shell of its former self. On the other hand, they might give the show a thicker overarching narrative with certain character arcs like a lot of shows are doing, giving the characters more development and stretching stories out to more than just a 22 minute block. All we know right now is that most of the important characters are still there. How they'll be used is up in the air.

How is that guy even a MRA? He's more like a jab at those guys who think 1910 illustrations of men with beards are the apex of human evolution
Every CN show must look like adventure time.
Sad thing is this probably isn't as intentional as you'd expect.
Since when are the big beard and muscles type of guys a MRA thing? Did I miss something?
I've even heard the flannel guy in the preview described as a Men's Rights Activist Hooo boooy
Wait, wasn't there an episode in the original PowerPuff Girls about how feminism should be about equality, not extra power?

I mean the original was made in a way that both girls and boys could enjoy it. Isn't that the whole point?
He's being coy, but that really is the episode. The moral was that Ms. Grrl power up there wasn't a true feminist at all; getting away with her crimes by acting as if they were for a greater good of women, while convincing the girls that men in general were the real problem and she should be left alone because "girls gotta stick together". The resolution for the episode was reached when Utonium brought over several female first responders that were directly wounded by the villain to explain to to the girls that, no, that woman isn't working for the betterment of other women. Just herself. Then the PPG treat her just like any other villian, i.e. beat the shit out of her.
Lauren Faust said that she wished she didn't write that episode. Saying the subject was too touchy for a lighthearted cartoon.
How is that guy even a MRA? He's more like a jab at those guys who think 1910 illustrations of men with beards are the apex of human evolution
Not even that, he's just your stereotypical cartoon lumberjack.
Erm... It looks almost the same, minus new voices. Feels more like a new season than a "reboot".
Lauren Faust said that she wished she didn't write that episode. Saying the subject was too touchy for a lighthearted cartoon.
Imo, cartoons and youth programming is just the right places for touchy subjects. Adults don't like to have their core beliefs challenged, but kids don't even have core beliefs to challenge. What would insight a shitfest among grown folks would just have kids talking.
The original character designs clash so much with every other character. They should have just gone all out and had redesigns of all three girls. That way it could have been it's own thing without trying to bank on the nostalgia factor.
The background characters remind me of those shitty nursery rhyme videos on Youtube.
The background characters remind me of those shitty nursery rhyme videos on Youtube.
The whole show looks like a piece of shit
The background characters remind me of those shitty nursery rhyme videos on Youtube.
I don't know if it's just me or not but that Lumberjack guy looks out of place. It's as if someone used photoshop over an existing character or something. Damn.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/hPwDrxO.png[/t] The background characters remind me of those shitty nursery rhyme videos on Youtube.
If I never knew what this was suppose to be from and you told me it's suppose to be PPG, I would think you're full of shit. The only thing that resembles PPG in any way are the buildings in the background.
