i gotta be honest, most cartoon cartoons all looked the same in some way PPG shared a similar art style to dexters lab, sheep in the big city, johnny bravo and courage the cowardly dog (among others) of course, all shows were unique but their art styles were dead similar the adventure time tier art style is really good and modern but i honestly think applying it for everything especially a gritty (but still kid friendly) show like PPG is wrong and doesn't do the original justice but like, season 1 of most shows are supposed to suck and season 2 is always better, so hopeful they've worked out they need to change shit up or else its going to piss off old fans

It uses its art style to get away with shit. Thing is, the new PPG aesthetic would work if the people working on the show were just better. At everything. I truly believe this is an issue of either slapping a preview together out of bits of an episode that's nowhere near completion, or the people working on the show just aren't really that good yet.

I know Craig worked on both of them. I really don't see what similarities you're referring to with Courage though, Courage was one of a kind.

That intro is actually not too bad.

Music-wise it's not very good, but the animation and representation of old villains is really good. If only the show's quality was a fraction of that good.

The music isn't my thing but its not too terrible either, catchy and whatnot but something about the main singer is off to me. I'm still not rooting for this show but I'll give credit where its due the intro is probably the best thing they've shown so far of the show.

Did they use the original recording of the Sugar Spice and Everything Nice thing from the original intro? Because it sounds really similar.

I liked it until they started singing. I do actually like the visual style of the intro at the very least.

Not really liking the intro. The song isn't too good and the heavy colors with everything else black and white seems like an odd choice for what so far seems like a very colorful cartoon. At this point it's probably just best to wait for the new episodes to actually come out. We only have small samples of scenes so there's not much material to go off of. This reboot could never be the same as the original show when it first aired, so we can only hope it's at least decent.
