very nice.
I don't like many rap songs aside from a small handful, but this was actually pretty good, I'm surprised.
My faith in Hip-Hop/Rap has been a little restored.
I don't normally like Hopsin, but this song is pretty good.
I quite liked this but after looking at some of his other stuff I wasn't particularly impressed.
hopsin has always been good
Not as good as OF lol, but then again you can't really compare.
lol I feel like reading a youtube comment
I'm glad Hopsin's finally given up trying to be the next Eminem. He's actually pretty good when he's rapping about stuff that means something to him.
The way he raps really reminds me of a black eminem
that america shits out,
hip-hop comes from america
Doesn't beat Will Smith.
Hopsin is good but he is no Freddie Gibbs.
Wow, I can actually understand what the guy is saying unlike most rap songs I hear. And it actually has meaning. Holy shit this is awesome.
Good rap; That reminded me a hell ov' a lot of RjD2's F.H.H.
I see you're a fan of Tyler the Creator. Does some of your animosity stem from Hopsin's criticism of OFWGKTA? I think some of the shit he does like this is really original and not gimmicky whatsoever. I don't think you've listened to very much of Hopsin.
nah that has nothing to do with it i can just tell what kind of person hopsin is through his music and i hate that type of person
3 pages and no Macklemore.

Rap is actually good, once you get away from all the shit that's on the radio. If you want rap with true meaning, listen to Hopsin, A$AP Rocky, Aesop Rock, Kanye West's album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and probably a bunch of other lesser known rappers out there. (Kanye is well known of course, but his lyrics are actually meaningful, so that's why I include him.)
hip-hop comes from america
Doesn't mean it's the best place that makes it nowadays.
Doesn't mean it's the best place that makes it nowadays.
no it definitely is, the rawest hip-hop comes from america mos def, the roots, talib, common (he's dropped in stature but water for chocolate still exists), doom, madlib, outkast, das racist, killer mike
The lyrics are disappointing. Everything he's saying is just straight forward, it doesn't have any element of poetry.
He is an excellent lyricist with a good message. I agree with most others in here, he truly isn't the "best rapper I've heard" there are plenty, plenty already posted, that are "better" in whatever sense you'd like that to be. Some sound is for some people and some other sounds are for others, I don't put someone down just for the sake of saying that whatever kind of tunes they like to listen to is bad. To each their own. And because it seems to be the ongoing trend in here to post an artist from their personal cupboard of their favorite cups of tea, might as well follow in suit, tie and all.
Wow, I've been listening to album for so long and I have never heard that song... Thanks.
The lyrics are disappointing. Everything he's saying is just straight forward, it doesn't have any element of poetry.
From the sound of it I personally think that is the point of it.
"Kids dropping out like miscarriages" :v:
I love how the kids act like he's not even there when he's yelling at someone else :v:
I never thought I would find fans of MF DOOM, Slug, Eyedea, AND De La Soul. Holy shit guys I love you so fucking much it's unbelievable.
yes the lyrics and messages are smart, but the song itself isn't very appealing or pleasing to listen to imo
From the sound of it I personally think that is the point of it.
Where are you getting the idea that the point of it is to have dull lyrics?
I never thought I would find fans of MF DOOM, Slug, Eyedea, AND De La Soul. Holy shit guys I love you so fucking much it's unbelievable.
there's a hiphop thread in the music section and doom and de la soul gets posted once in awhile
I knew this was Ill Mind of Hopsin before I entered. He's making waves with this. I don't really like Hopsin as a guy, but I can't deny his talent for rapping. Props to him.
no it definitely is, the rawest hip-hop comes from america mos def, the roots, talib, common (he's dropped in stature but water for chocolate still exists), doom, madlib, outkast, das racist, killer mike
das racist is raw? uuuu
Great song and i'm not a fan of rap myself
