To be fair the 'little' part of that is a pretty fallacious argument since there's lot's of fans of Adventure Time and Regular Show, which are also kids shows, on FP. Though I guess those aren't aimed at quite as young an audience as MLP.
Holy shit! INTELLIGENT Discourse!
It's not about the show, it's about grown fucking men liking and obsessing over a show that's made for little girls.
Don't reply to me if you're not going to fucking listen. The point is the target GENDER shouldn't matter, but in terms of quality most shows made with girls in mind are incredibly shallow factory-fabs. This new incarnation of MLP isn't one of those, and therefore, it's fair game. Even if you only object to adults enjoying children's programming, you STILL don't have a leg to stand on. What does it matter HOW old they are, or WHAT gender they're part of?
There's this outdated societal taboo against adults indulging in certain activities usually associated with children. As we get older, people tend to avoid games of tag or hide-and seek. And the critical-thinker inside me asks, "why?" Sure, I don't fit as well in my OLD hiding places, but hide and seek is no less fun now than it was earlier in life. The only reasoning seems to be that adults have to be more "mature" and "serious", but this shouldn't mean that we're not entitled to enjoy ourselves when responsibility ISN'T knocking at our door.
The autism, it is strong in this one

Ponies are allowed so long as it contains bronie bashing/pony death. If it's just a normal pony picture or video, you'll get fucked up the ass by everyone. But so long as it's at a bronie's expense, it's allowed.

Nice.
I simply love how you people make yourselves look like bigger and bigger dumbshits in the face of a valid argument. It reveals you all for the raging five-year-olds you are, failing to justify your attempts to bully that one kid in class you don't like only because they're different from you.
If you're going to try stamping me with a "dumb"-rating, at least justify your reasoning so you don't look like a coward. And if you're going to try justifying why you're such fucking immature shits about things you don't care for, it would help if you actually formulated a valid reason.
Facepunch as a whole should be embarrassed about how aggressive and threatened it's users behave in the face of something as harmless as My Little Pony, to the point that they only seem able to explain the following to themselves by assuming it's comprised of people with deficient mental faculties, pedophiles or lovers of bestiality.
I continually find myself stunned by how very low these accusations are, especially considering my younger brother has low-functioning autism, which makes THOSE assertions particularly reprehensible to me. If baseless assertions are all you people have up your sleeves, then truly you've brought a knife to a gunfight in this battle of wits.
If whining about how some adults are watching shows for little girls is the only thing you've got, and repeat like a broken record, then it's clear to me that you're nothing more than a fucking child. If you're not going to say something intelligent, then don't say anything at all.
Also, if this thread has remained open and unmolested by moderators, then I can only assume that either they're not addressing their blatant double-standard or else they've rescinded the rule as they should have. Personally, I'd find it perfectly reasonable to lock threads and hand out bans on the grounds of MLP being a meme, but to go out of the way to make a ban-reason say "no ponies" is nothing short of bullying to my mind.
I say again: either ponies are allowed or they're not. If you're going to let this thread stand, then you'd better let them all stand. Otherwise you betray the fact that you're not banning ponies to avoid flame-wars or avoid meme-clutter; only because you're not mature enough to tolerate them yourselves.
EDIT
Ah, and right out the gate, an unjustified drive-by dumb-rating. You people are so shamelessly predictable.
I think this thread will require some soda and popcorn.

Sure thing man. It seems to me like you're getting your panties in a bunch over something that doesn't matter. At all. Or ever will. Also I get a feeling that you're pretending to not be a fan of the show so that you can make your argument feel more legitimate. Really, it's not like it matters. Because the target audience really IS fucking important. My Little Pony is a show that is centered completely around stuff that only small girls would enjoy, NOTHING about it should be interesting to an adult man. Would you say that a 50 year old man who plays with barbies is okay too?
I thoroughly enjoyed this to the extent the law allows me to. But then, I enjoyed it some more. I may masturbate to this later.

Actually, the show is written in a way so that if a child wants to watch it Parents can still enjoy it with their child. Unlike 99.9999999% of other kids shows.
Someone do tell me; does this not violate the "no ponies" rule somehow for threads, or is there simply some stupid fucking double-standard, in which the ACTUAL rule is "no PRO-pony threads".
Down to brass tacks, if you're going to enforce this insipid fucking rule Garry, you should at least be consistent about it. Lock this thread, or abandon your rule; you can't have it both ways. And if you're going to ban me for backseat modding, I must ask you to consider what I'm saying, or risk succumbing to hypocrisy.
And as to the idiots MAKING this shit, grow the fuck up. I'm so sorry if every now and then you're forced to come across content that doesn't gel with your fake hyper-masculine sensibilities, but why the Hell does it even MATTER to you that this show exists and is popular? It's not like this is Hanna Montana, the Jonas Brothers or Justin fucking Bieber; those were icons pushed aggressively upon idiot teens and tweens, and while the company pushing them on the youth were rightly to blame, the kids themselves are more the subject of pity than anything else.
This show became popular on it's own merits, and while I agree that it's overblown and that the quality isn't SO spectacular that it's all that much better than most decent cartoon shows, the show's popularity comes from the fact that it broke the till-then unbroken rule that anything made for and directed towards young girls automatically sucked. Some of us believe this is significant, and the show's decency allows males with taste to explore a realm once denied to them by an invisible barrier of stupid writing, bland characters and garish saccharine colors.
Say what you will, but the fan-content alone is telling. The great thing about these characters and their world is that they're no strangers to mortal peril, so I've seen perfectly feasible fan-crossovers of everything from Sherlock Holmes to Portal 2 to Mass Effect, all of which somehow managed to work within the constraints of a magical world of ponies and come out smelling like a rose.
I'm aware that at the very least I'm going to receive a number of boxes from the juvenile people perusing this thread, but let me assure you that dumb-ratings mean jack-shit when they're made by patently dumb people.
