Looks pretty neat, but at the same time, like every 'grand epic' sci-fi game ever. In the end it's all in the execution, and since Bungie probably got a blank cheque from Acti, there's a lot to expect.
as far as Destiny PC goes, the leaked contract between Bungie/Activision that turned out to be legit said Destiny will come to PC in the future of the franchise, I assumed when Destiny reaches the next gen systems.

You know what they should really do? Something more epic than they did with Halo 3 "Believe". Whether you liked Halo or not you'd have to be a rare person indeed to not appreciate the work they put into this:

Can Bungie top this? I damn well think so.
Looks amazing, but I don't think it can be bigger than "Halo".
I'm glad that they're actually trying. We're all fed up of the recent game franchises being driven into the ground over the past few years, I'm glad they're trying something new and above all something they seem extremely passionate about. I hope the potential success of this makes other companies realize that you can take risks. Personally I think Treyarch have done a good job with their end of the CoD series, but I'd love to see them do their own thing because they haven't done shit since 2008.
good to see a big company doing a different ip
Looks amazing, but I don't think it can be bigger than "Halo".
It comes down to what they mean by bigger.
In terms of scale? This is going to be bigger. In terms of its success and popularity? Well, we don't know.
I think I am the only gamer in the world who is not interested in sci-fi in the slightest.
I think I am the only gamer in the world who is not interested in sci-fi in the slightest.
I love sci-fi.
Fantasy and modern and everything in between is done to death.
Hnnnnnnngg please don't be a generic shooter. I'm not a Halo fan, but I really, really want this to be good.
:l
You mean the incredibly brief clips of gameplay that show zero details on how it handles?
I did not say it would play like halo or have anything to do with halo
i said
the gameplay just looks like Halo: Destiny to me.
I kinda wish there was more sci-fi and cyberpunk games out there. I'm dead tired of modern shooters and generic fantasy games. Sci-fi just is more open to creativity.
I love sci-fi.

I think it's just because every sci-fi game or movie looks exactly the same.
They said its not coming to PC:

No, RPS said not coming to PC, nothing Jason Jones said confirmed or denied Destiny PC. The contract between Activision and Bungie requires a PC release. The script in the preorder page on the official website shows this.

And a quote from Bungie's COO Pete Parsons says.

Uh, what's so scary about it, the gameplay so far just looked like another fps.
Uh, what's so scary about it, the gameplay so far just looked like another fps.
They didn't mean scary as in horror, I think they meant scary as in the situations it's going to put us in. And of course it looks like "another FPS" We only saw like 20 seconds of actual gameplay scattered across the vidoc.
They didn't mean scary as in horror, I think they meant scary as in the situations it's going to put us in.
I wasn't talking about horror either, I just don't get what's so "scary" about the challenges they/we have to face. It doesn't look like it's that big of a deal.
so what do you dooo in the gaaaaame
so what do you dooo in the gaaaaame
gee maybe we'll find out at that magical place called E3

Listen to Marty's incredible music.

That means nothing, thats part of one of the frameworks Activision uses to build their web pages

i dunno how you can jump to that conclusion considering they haven't gone into any detail at all, yet
Bungie always creates awesome environments in their games and this seems to be no exception.
This is something I've been looking forward to since its unveiling. The art direction is absolutely amazing to me. The story seems cliche but they've twisted it in a way that makes it extremely intriguing. The monolithic aspect of that sphere just hanging over the Earth is kind of awe-inspiring. I have great respect for Bungie. They pull off a believable game world extremely well and in general they are a great game studio. I have high hopes for this game and I would be extremely disappointed if it doesn't live up to all the hype they're creating for it.

most of the publications that posted coverage today did
super solider space marines
weak story premise
console only
probably day 1 dlc pay to win multiplayer
singleplayer with seamless drop in mutiplayer will probably be gimmicky.
if they think about putting in mmo mechanics, it will be shit, because consoles are shit.
not interested
super solider space marine.
Uhh, no not really.
weak story premise
Making that assumption on the very little we know is dumb.
console only
Destiny will be on the PC in the future, the contract between activision and bungie require it.
probably day 1 dlc pay to win multiplayer
Under what basis are you even going to say probably anything of the sort is going to happen?
singleplayer with seamless drop in mutiplayer will probably be gimmicky.

if they think about putting in mmo mechanics, it will be shit, because consoles are shit.
Just about everything you said is false or not enough information to judge it by. Nobody knows how any of that is going to work, stop making assumptions and using the word probably as it's a matter of fact. And theres no need to bring in the whole "Consoles are shit" into this, because it's only making your points look even more ignorant and dumb. We know next to nothing about almost everything you were being negative upon.
