Doug Walker (Nostalgic Critic) has released the first episode to his new show. - General

Doug is known for fucking up anything new he's doing. This makes no exception.

I had a feeling this would happen. Doug Walker wasn't the star of the Nostalgia Critic. The movies were. The Nostalgia Critic was just a foil to react to the movies. The only good jokes he can make are the ones that immediately come into his head (see the commercial episodes for an example of his best work). If he has to TRY to make a joke, it won't be funny. The problem is that when he tries to make a joke when there isn't one, he tries way, WAY WAY too hard. That's the source of most of the very worst parts of the Nostalgia Critic, and if he's creating content that has no source material to work with (a movie, TV show, commercial, etc) it's going to be ALL that.

he is a good reviewer but a terrible writer/actor

Well, at least this series doesn't have an annoying, screaming character that's like the Nostalgia Critic.

I really wish the comments were more constructive rather than just being a bunch of dumb yes-men. I think Doug can be funny under the right circumstances, but with these asshats okaying everything he does he's just gonna keep getting worse and worse. Either the comments need to change or Doug needs to stop listening to the "criticisms" on his own site.

Watched part 1... don't have the energy to watch part 2... Jesus, it's just so fucking tedious and unfunny. I feel myself dying as I watch. Doug can be funny when he's got something to make fun of in a punchy one-liner sort of way. Leave him to his own devices though, and he tortures a joke. It's like, you know he's making fun of something legitimate about a movie, but he's way too passive about doing it. He gets the point across, but no humor follows it. I can't even bring myself to smirk. He really needs to stick to reviews. A new character with new review criteria. Maybe a show that highlights really good movies and nitpicks the shit out of them? Hell, he's already got a character for that...

Good thing I never liked him in the first place.

Wow, I didn't even crack a smile the whole time. I was a HUGE fan of NC, this is awful.

I have no words to describe what I just watched.

I got about five minutes in to the first part and realized my time could be spent more productively by not watching something that, while may be a success on TGWTG, will be panned elsewhere.

I just wish he'd just do real reviews just being himself more often, they are and were way more entertaining to watch than his newest NC's and this.

I really wish he'd just do actual reviews, Doug Walker is a great guy to listen to when he's just talking about movies.

They are almost exactly the same quality since he started them. Mostly because his community bolsters it. And in his commentaries it is obvious he is too full of himself to realize what he thinks is elaborate, we find tedious and annoying. I swear the guy only knows how to position the camera 30 inches from himself. Barely goes to a different location then his house.

The reviewers on the site are my guilty pleasure. I don't know why I find any of them funny. Aside from Doug's older stuff and handful of people. With that being said... This is complete shit.
