So has this been modded back in on the PC version yet?
Haha port-a-jonTRON
It's funny because his career's in the toilet
1. they were chopped up from full sentences or longer sounds.
doesnt this only apply to mumbo though
doesnt this only apply to mumbo though
grant said there might've been a few special ones like mumbo's, but essentially they're all just cut up sound files of rareware mumbling sounds into a mic. i'm no good with audio terminology so this'll sound like trash, but there's a clear difference between the voice files in yookalaylee and how they were done in banjo, as someone else pointed out the harshness and brightness of the beginning of each sound in yooka, like a burst of sound. you didn't get that in banjo partly because they chopped up a longer sound file and you didn't always get that burst of sound on every beat. this further mutes the voices to a non-grating level, aside from usually using sounds that didn't sound like ass. BASICALLY yooka's voices are people doing an IMITATION of banjo voices, and that doesn't help their quality in any way.
the harshness and brightness of the beginning of each sound in yooka, like a burst of sound.
i remember banjo, kazooie, and gruntilda's voices being like this but i can see what your point is
i remember banjo, kazooie, and gruntilda's voices being like this but i can see what your point is
you're definitely remembering wrong on kazooie, and banjo's is nowhere near as obnoxious as the voices here. gruntilda's might be the exception. could argue by design but i'd be talking out my ass if i did.
I think it's just my liking to clicking like noises but the voices never bothered me that much
I like the way they did voices in Magicka better
