the gba yu gi oh games were pretty sick
I loved the 2004 release. I loved picking on Mokuba for easy cards. Then the game threw me a huge curveball. Apparently that wuss went and complained to his brother that I was stomping his ass. Lo and behold Kaiba was waiting for me. Next thing I know he summons blue eyes ultimate dragon via cyber-stein and equips megamorph to blue eyes for a one turn kill. I was super pissed at the time but I couldn't help but be impressed. Never had a game throw me for a loop like that.

Now, his 9000 attack Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon would win me the game.
the gba yu gi oh games were pretty sick
afaik 2008 or so was the last "old" yugioh game before they started to introduce speed duels and bikes and shit
afaik 2008 or so was the last "old" yugioh game before they started to introduce speed duels and bikes and shit
yo chill 5Ds was the shit, and the DS game was pretty good too the only ygo game that came out for 3DS was pretty disappointing
yo chill 5Ds was the shit, and the DS game was pretty good too the only ygo game that came out for 3DS was pretty disappointing
The newest Tag Force game on PSP was good if you just wanted AIs to duel with (the story mode was pretty simplistic) but of course it only ever came out in Japan.
I've always loved the way Yu-gi-oh played. I used to obsess over the cards and have a huge fucking binder full of them.
FYI Ray is streaming and the same thing happened to him just now [editline]3rd August 2015[/editline] http://www.twitch.tv/brownman
This thread made me pick up the GBA games and play them again. Thanks...

Joey was almost as bad cause he had almost all annoying traps and value level 4 monsters; so unless you got lucky with your spells you'd never keep anything out and never beat over his monsters.
What about thousand eyes restrict? Wasn't that kind of easy to get on to the field and really hard to get rid of? Still my favourite monster card. I have Relinquished around here somewhere...
I just got Yu Gi Oh cards because I thought the pictures were cool.
What about thousand eyes restrict? Wasn't that kind of easy to get on to the field and really hard to get rid of? Still my favourite monster card. I have Relinquished around here somewhere...
Thousand eyes restrict was pretty OP but easy to take care of if you could kill it before it started taking your creatures. Plus wasn't it one of the first cards to get banned competitively?
Had obelisk with blue card design, cousin stole it when he stayed over, my mom did his laundry and it went through the wash along with my 3 blue eyes white dragons he stole. Quit yugioh that day
shoulda challenged him to a duel
I wish I could remember where my cards were located. I got all three Egyptian God Cards plus the Pyramid of Light card because my local theater was giving packs of them to anyone that went to see the Pyramid Of Light movie. [editline]3rd August 2015[/editline] I never really played many of the video games. I had Duelist of The Roses and Dawn of Destiny. I also borrowed Forbidden Memories from my uncle once.
shoulda challenged him to a duel
And kicked his ass using the heart of the cards. :v: [editline]3rd August 2015[/editline]
Yugi was an utter fucker too; he had all the best spells and traps to play with and would stall until he could throw out one of several super strong monsters like Valkyrion. Such a badass muther fucker. Too bad he was an absolute pain in the ass to summon. Valkyrion was my favorite card in the game until Machina Madness came out. Machina Fortress for life!
Oh come we don't have a Yu Gi Oh thread?
Thousand eyes restrict was pretty OP but easy to take care of if you could kill it before it started taking your creatures. Plus wasn't it one of the first cards to get banned competitively?
Thousand eyes restrict was broke because you could use metamorphosis (send a monster you control to the grave summon a fusion with the same level) and scapegoat (summon 4 level 1 0/0 tokens in defence) to instantly summon him. Scapegoat was meant to be a quick defence because you couldn't tribute them so they never expected shit like thousand eyes out of nowhere for 2 cards; especially when he could then just instantly take an opponents monster to make himself beefier and hard to kill. It was like the first ever proper meta "goat control". Hell even now he can't come back because of a spell called instant fusion; that let's you special a fusion monster that is level 5 or lower for a thousand which will die at the end of the turn. Summon restrict; steal a monster for free and then he won't die because of his own effect.

Silent Honor ARK does the same thing but better, and is summoned about as easily. if it came off the list it would probably do nothing
Oh come we don't have a Yu Gi Oh thread?
We did for TCG in the game's section, not enough serious players on the site though, thread was constantly dead which is a shame @Purple Gecko Thousand eyes dies at the end of the turn when summoned via Instant fusion, his effect only protects him from battle (which is redundant since nothing can attack...), it could have easily come off the ban list to 3 long time ago
Well.. TYR is still a pretty cool looking monster at least...
better
The only thing I remember about Yu Gi Oh is having like 10 of Blue Eyes White Dragon and having people just sit the fuck down because of it. This being when I was like, 9, and we used to play with them in person.

Fair enough.
