Merzbow or whatever he is called make no sense at all. No I'm not ignorant, he seriously doesn't make any sense, it sounds like a broken amplifier mixed with an idiot playing guitar and women being raped. How anyone sits their and enjoys it, I don't know. You can't dance to it, you can't jump around to it, and you can't sing along to it. It pretty much makes your ears bleed if you listen to it. It might even break your speakers. No I'm not ignorant for not considering it music, he was just screwing around with his synthesizer and his keyboard.
yes because clearly if it isn't composed to be a song that a majority of people can sing along to, it isn't music not only are you ignorant but you're just completely naive
Fucking hate hardcore techno Steals the name of a good genre and defiles it with shit like THAT THIS is real hardcore :frog:
No, this is.
yes because clearly if it isn't composed to be a song that a majority of people can sing along to, it isn't music not only are you ignorant but you're just completely naive
There is no rhythm at all. I'm not saying people need to be able to sing or dance along to a song for it to be music, but you should heart a beat in the song. That was literally just noise that sounds like it wasn't at all planned. You could do that easily but just cranking up the volume of whatever electronic device you use to make the music with. It sounds like nothing and the video was pointless. There is no way to classify that genre other than 'uselesscore' or something.
music doesn't need a beat or rhythm

Pro techno is pro.

fuck off SoaringScout you're the kind of person that whines at modern art and doesn't call it art seriously
fuck off SoaringScout you're the kind of person that whines at modern art and doesn't call it art seriously
Modern art is amazing. This isn't art in any way shape or form. In modern art the painter, sculptor, designer, etc. actually tries making something with meaning, you should be able to find meaning behind art. Face it, Merzbow doesn't do anything creative, he just makes extremely loud noises on his keyboard and synthesizer. I have no idea why you consider that artistic or good. It takes NO talent.

The skill of the artists is also irrelevant as the simplest thing still has value while the most complicated isn't always superior.
I really liked the OP's track. I have a lot of tracks like that on my MP3 [editline]10:35AM[/editline]
reasons why this isn't music
It's like calling a painting of some nonsense like some dots and a line not a painting. It's a picture drawn by a human being, You can't possibly call it "not a painting" no matter what is displayed on it can you. You can't call it "visual thing that makes no sense" This case is exactly like that only in audio form. It's a composition composed by a human being. No matter what do you hear that, it's music.
Only manly men can withstand this and not piss out watermelon sized kidney stones out of there ears.
If this isn't music, then neither is * Linkin Park * Bullet for My Valentine * Rise Against * BRING ME THE HORIZON * Escape The Fate
If this isn't music, then neither is * Linkin Park * Bullet for My Valentine * Rise Against * BRING ME THE HORIZON * Escape The Fate
Oh the close-mindedness...
Hey, mikeyt493 and RichardCQ Shut yo faces. Or else my next thread is gonna be about you two and how much I hate you, and may include details about your family and where you live.
This ALMOST makes me want to jump back in the discussion. How backwards is that? if it was a song made by some dude intended to be music, then even though it sounds like my speakers having a seizure, it's music
This hurts mai ears :(

That was just horrible.
That was directed quite specifically at SoaringScout
I know, but I love pointing out strawmen. Anyway, I think we should kill this argument before it dissolves into everyone calling everyone else jackasses.
Let's end any arguments before they happen. Music is really based on perception, that's why people would say birds chirping or cash registers dinging is "music to their ears." I honestly don't understand it at all but it's music to some people.
Well that only took about 1.5 pages to settle. Congratulations, I think that's a facepunch record.
I felt like it was building up to a melody so I sat through 30 seconds of that. It was not fun.
This is my favorite music stop flaming it
hey
Lolicore's the future of music, better get used to it now. V Apparently, idiots doesn't know what a joke is.
