PCSX2 devs, take note.
Iiiiiif I fliiiiiiip the pizzzzzza, Mr. Aziz'll fliiiip ooooout... Fuck it, I'll just post it.
That's the PS2 version, so unless PCSX2 fixed it, it should still work.
Why does that matter? Pedo's have contributed to the linux kernel. What of it?
I'd rather the VR emulation scene's figurehead be the Dolphin group itself rather than any particular individual that could be used to give VR (or emulation) gaming a bad name by some technophobic news agency like the BBC. I'm not saying the work itself is tainted or that I'd never use it.
Whats the legality of this? I'm guessing the program itself is legal and the games itself are illegal?
Emulation is completely legal in most the civilized world.
I was just wondering how well I could play Melee on my laptop. I guess now is a good time since it's got a lot of performance boosts. EDIT: Ruined merge
5:54 oh no no more miiiisssteeeerrr aaaziiiizzzzz
miiiiiiisteeeeer aaaaaziiiiiiiiz is goonnna fliiiiiiiiip if i fliiip theese pizzzaaaaas
Dolphin is literally one of the best emulators out there, the amount of care and attention to detail put into it is just outstanding, the devs definitely deserve a good job in programming of some sort. I'm testing it out now on the games I own but this video sold me instantly.
This is amazing! Dolphin has to be the most impressive and complete emulator around. I only wish Dreamcast emulation would get this good. Can't wait to give Nightfire multiplayer a try.
i hope the wiiu emulator shapes up to be this good [editline]25th June 2016[/editline] considering how fast the progress is i think it will
i hope the wiiu emulator shapes up to be this good [editline]25th June 2016[/editline] considering how fast the progress is i think it will
not even mentioning citra, that emulator is moving faster than a bullet... but can it flip pizzas?
does this possibly mean timesplitters is now playable?\ nvmd. timesplitters 2 works perfect now and so does future perfect. I know what im playing https://i.gyazo.com/3b90d3a3b1b617bd582197ec370f84c1.jpg
if only the NGC version had network mode, 24 freaking players
Ooooh shiiit does this mean I could re play metroid prime games wearing my HTC Vive and having on the controllers control Samus's arm cannon?
It's incredible and very impressive how polished this emulator is now. Not a lot of other emulators have gotten to this level of accuracy and speed. A lot of people think most game consoles are emulated perfectly these days, but that's very far from the truth. It's only been in the last few years that most PCs have even gained enough power for emulator devs to start working toward accuracy and speed rather than just speed. Dolphin is now so powerful that it makes me consider choosing it to play GCN/Wii games over the real Wii console that I still own, and that's an incredible feat for an emulator to have achieved.
Ooooh shiiit does this mean I could re play metroid prime games wearing my HTC Vive and having on the controllers control Samus's arm cannon?
you already can (except for the wand part), use dolphin vr

you know, now that dolphin is this powerful, i can't help but wonder what it's gonna do to nintendo's sales eventually
Can anyone report better performance? What about save game compability?
you know, now that dolphin is this powerful, i can't help but wonder what it's gonna do to nintendo's sales eventually
the emulators always take so long to become better than the actual console that Nintendo isn't really making money off of the old games/hardware anymore
"Rather than attempting to emulate integer math using floating point math, Dolphin abandons that by taking advantage of the D3D11 and OpenGL 3 (or newer) APIs that allow for the use of integer math unlike older APIs." Wtf this is how they were doing it???
Can anyone report better performance? What about save game compability?
alarmingly better performance it seems to take no effort at all to get popular games like Wind Waker or Twilight Princess running smoothly now [editline]25th June 2016[/editline] (GTX 970)
Can anyone report better performance? What about save game compability?
everything works at full fps for me [editline]25th June 2016[/editline] even twin snakes which has never run at full speed for me works just fine
the emulators always take so long to become better than the actual console that Nintendo isn't really making money off of the old games/hardware anymore
what about the wii u emulator though? my question doesn't hold up with the nes, snes and gamecube/wii, i get that, but the citrix emulator is developing at a rather fast rate, the wii u isn't even at the end of its lifetime cycle yet [editline]25th June 2016[/editline] in fact i bet they could easily take some of the functionality of dolphin 5.0 and make a wii u emulator if they wanted because iirc the wii u still uses powerpc architecture, just like the wii and gamecube, right?
Yep. Runs super. Sadly old savegames don't work. Might be placebo but the sound sounds a lot better to me now. Ocarina of Time on the old versions of Dolphin would not work well. Graphical glitches up the ass, but now with 5.0 it seems to actually run well with minimal issues.
Might be placebo but the sound sounds a lot better to me now.
It's probably not placebo. There were some big improvements to sound emulation that you can read about here and here. If you're at all interested in Dolphin, I highly recommend adding their blog to your RSS reader. They release progress reports at the end of each month that are breezy, entertaining reads despite the technical content.
I guess it's time for me to finish Thousand Year Door now.
What's that game at 4:16?
This shows up right after I complete a full run of eternal darkness on all three alignments. Shit
I'm so glad that the Memory Management Unit emulation got optimised, I spent day and night just wishing I could play Spider-Man 2 decently and here we are through Carmack style coding magic.
