When he starts talking about the whites as the master race and zionist ruling classes, then we can call him a nazi, but not before then. On topic though, i found my performance tanked in F-zero GX with 5.0. I'm sure it'll be fine when they get an x86 version out there but until then that was kinda disappointing. The desert planet still lags like hell too, i thought they fixed that with the EFB changes but apparently not
finally tried it out today, 0 performance gain over last version. oh well
did you use DX 11 or DX 12?
well that's just flat out not true though, something must be wrong
might be this [t]https://my.mixtape.moe/cfpbya.png[/t] [editline]30th June 2016[/editline]
did you use DX 11 or DX 12?
DX11, DX12 doesn't work for me.
Most of the performance improvements are on the DX12 backend from what I can tell. You're gonna need to upgrade your GPU for that shit, which shouldn't be too pricey considering all the pricedrops that are gonna be happening soon.
The Dev has said that if he gets stuck he might consider opening it up, and he might just do it eventually. Though, his current reasons are dumb. He says its because he feels a tight group of dedicated contributers > a horde of short-term volunteers, and he wants to avoid hacky solutions and wants things done right. But he can just ignore pull requests or only accept those that meet standards. He also doesn't want to lose control of the project and wants to prove the people who say that it's doomed if it's not open-source wrong, and those reasons are just stupid imo.
He is fucking dumb, it is impossible that making a program free will make it worse, it also does not mean losing control over the program, you just make a public compromise to maintain it and accept contributions you deem as good, and if people fork it it's not a bad thing, it means you had terrible decisionmaking, and if the people that run the fork get more contributions it's not that there's a conspiration against the progress of your emulator, it means people don't like how you work, you should not fear forks unless you are bad at those things.
Is anyone else unable to reach their website?
my gpu is on-board. there's no way to replace it.
What kind of machine are you running that doesn't have any PCI-E to put in a new GPU and disable the onboard in favor of the new one?

Maybe i just cant find the racism in the link (possible, im sleepy as hell) but lets not just assume people are neonazis because a single github repo partially banned them over expressing pro-brexit views. And it looks like he had a good reason for bringing it up, changing region flags. His final rude outburst may be justified depending on what went on in private.
When you say x86, are you referring to 32-bit? Because that isn't coming back.
i thought x86 was 64 bit. whoops Either way, performance tanked in GX, i don't know what's going on if it's not bottlenecking against software
Can I just ask, why does OpenGL seem so shit with dolphin? I'm unsure if I'm the only one experiencing difficulties with it, but it seems like when I use it as a backend, games look buggy as shit.

Do you have AMD cards? Open GL support isn't as great with AMD cards sadly.
Do you have AMD cards? Open GL support isn't as great with AMD cards sadly.
Two computers with Nvidia cards in them and OpenGL has a fit. It works really well for PCSX2 though.
Two computers with Nvidia cards in them and OpenGL has a fit. It works really well for PCSX2 though.
My guess is that the Dolphin devs focused primarily on DirectX, and more or less slapped in OpenGL so they could say it's multi-platform.
opengl runs way better for me on dolphin than directx though
OpenGL used to be the recommended renderer for Dolphin, at least back in 4.0 I still had better performance on that than on D3D. Since I don't have DirectX 12 I guess I'm still going to be using OpenGL as well.
So far DX12 is working a lot better for me for some reason.
So far DX12 is working a lot better for me for some reason.
DX12 is crazy good for performance generally if your hardware can support it.
So windwaker is really glitching out for me. I can post the specs, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has had that issue. The hud moves around all over the place The world looks like a screen that awkwardly moves where I'm looking.

Usually games have specific options that need to be on for maximum performance.
My guess is that the Dolphin devs focused primarily on DirectX, and more or less slapped in OpenGL so they could say it's multi-platform.
OpenGL gets features (through (vendor specific) extensions) before DirectX does, and there are huge performance gains there. But ofc that varies a lot between vendor/hardware/drivers so its a bit hit and miss. Also on AMD the OpenGL driver performance can be really poor, and there is less extension support. Dx12 however has some of those features in its core and its a lot more reliable across vendors, so that will be the way to go for now.
