Game Grumps - I'm going to not pay attention to the thread and call it bad V3
I've played Wario World before and that wheel was exactly the point I predicted their inability to pay attention to textual hints would stump them.
If I remember correctly, I got stuck at the wheel too.
I honestly would love if they played Smooth Moves. But that would only work with "facecam" so I'm not sure.
As soon as they started talking about Cowboy bebop I had the urge to rewatch the whole series.

I had to listen to this immediately after the episode finished

Sometimes I get this sneaking suspicion that many YouTube personalities known for being gamers, are actually very average at playing games. Anyone else?

And? They're not known for being amazing gaming pros.

I think Freddiew is the only one that would qualify as "amazing gaming pro."

That's... pretty much how it is. It's not very entertaining to watch them breeze through a game like a pro, at least not to the masses. Criken and the like get away with being actually not terrible at the games they play by just cutting out the parts that are actually funny.
Game grumps, in my opinion, have this perfect balance of being absolutely shit at some games, and actually really good at others, and no matter what making it funny or at least entertaining to watch or listen to.

You know, I don't think I'd mind them missing hint blocks so much if they didn't go and say the game is bad because they don't know what to do.
I'm finding the more recent grump episodes to go along the lines of:
they waddle into the level, find the help bubble, disregard the help bubble, then complain when they can't figure out vital game mechanics. It's more than a little frustrating. Bear in mind, it's still kind of funny to see them play, but sometimes it's a little irritating.

Jons quite good at Castlevania
Jons quite good at Castlevania
well yeah, but he's not a pro speedrunner or anything. they're obviously not famous because they're good at games.
I'm glad they acknowledged the existence of Wario Land
Now maybe they'll play the second one? please?
wario land is a good series and all but i'd really rather see them do warioware, i've always wanted them to , especially after the incredible crisis videos
[editline]24th March 2013[/editline]
also it's my birthday today and i have the same birthday as jon, so his birthday is tomorrow i believe because of time zone differences
they could just do both
I am of the opinion that Wario Land 2 is the best 2D platformer ever made, and I'd like to hear their opinions

i really like that it's built around not being able to die, and instead of getting hurt by things they usually transform you or just subtract coins. it works SO well.

Jesus fuck they have like no memory whatsoever
They already faced that big arm-throwing robot once as silver, and back then once it was on the ground they could lift it up with telekinesis and finish it off
And now they somehow forgot. I know it's not supposed to be a conventional playthrough but hot damn these used to be so much better when they paid attention to the game.
Heck at some point silver goes apeshit while on a ball that should've hurt him and they did not even take notice of it. Focus god damn it, focus.
It's hard to focus when you're making jokes with your friend.
I know, but half the time they're just doing some random story, and I'm going "I DON'T CARE ABOUT ALL OF THE FLAVOURS OF ICE CREAM AVAILABLE AT DISNEYWORLD PLEASE MAKE JOKES ABOUT THE GAME AND WHAT IS HAPPENING" while the game is shitting itself or they're missing obvious goals or they're ignoring the correct way to kill an enemy.
There's no excuse for missing prime grump material when it happens because they're going on about some random thing when something is actually happening.
Imagine going to your friend to play video games and once you leave, a bunch of people are yelling at you for not doing something an hour ago or talking too much about things not having to do with the game.
Game Grumps appears to be more two guys playing video games together, if you want a real show, go watch something like two best friends play. Do you think they are too scripted? Well, that's what a real show is! Why do you keep thinking these guys need to be entertaining just for you?

This is a terrible mentality to have. I dont have a stance in this argument, but they practically live off game grumps so the material they provide should be sufficiently entertaining to as many people as possible.
This is by far not a serious or professional show, so they usually just goof around. Also, because their episodes are so short, there may be some whole episodes where they may not do anything, but what are they going to do with already recorded footage? You can't blame them for something they've done in the past and considering they're still talking without thinking about how long time they use to figure stuff out, the footage shouldn't be cut out either.
All in all, it's just a show about two friends playing games without any quality requirements. The only people saying episodes are not up to standard are us and what can we do about it when the episode is already uploaded. Yelling at them in the YouTube comments won't do anything and doing it in a forum they've most likely not even heard about serves no purpose whatsoever, it's no use!

I think one of the most disappointing game grumps moments is the end of Shadow's campaign, where they talked about moth-man whilst everything was happening all at once.
